Hi this is an Auto Gelato, tomorrow is the beginning of week 11.
The trichomes are saying she is ready, but the bush says it's not ready. I use this medically, so I need it harvested right. I am thinking this weekend possibly? Attached are some photos of trichomes and the full bush. I welcome advice.

That bush is not lined up with the scope pics yet. The trich shots look close, but they also look like you're catching a lot of sugar leaf and outer foxtail growth, which can go cloudy/amber before the actual flower is finished. The plant itself is still throwing fresh white pistils and the calyxes don't look fully swollen everywhere.

I wouldn't chop the whole thing this weekend unless you have a problem forcing your hand. Give it another 7-10 days and check the trichs on the swollen bracts down in the bud, not the small leaves. For medicine, I'd want mostly cloudy heads with a little amber on the bud itself. If you pull now you'll probably get a lighter, racier effect and give up some weight.

If you're unsure, take one top branch as a tester and let the rest keep going. She looks late, just not quite done.

Thanks so much. that is a tricky problem I've notice try to get calyxs. My instinct was to wait, but I didn't want couch lock. very appreciated I will follow your advice, cause of the new growth.

Yeah looks like it's foxtailing and you'll pull your hair out trying to pick an opportune harvest time because there will always be some unfinished bud. If it's finished underneath, you can harvest now and trim the immature foxtails off when you trim.

Thanks I didn't know that. Damn that makes it harder. Much appreciated
