You will start to degrade the THC once you start going over the 200F mark. Lower temps will decarboxylate it however, and make it more orally active (150F seems to work well). Once you get over 300F you start loosing a LOT of the THC. If you hit 400 you've lost most if not all of it. So deep frying would degrade it as that call for a temp usually between 325 and 400. Not to say it wouldn't work though - you can cook foods at 300-400+ and still retain some of the active ingredients, but it just will not be as potent as it COULD have been.

yeah ken i got the same pots for a buck each to 8x8in sqaure fits real nice . running a side by side test with a 3$ super air root pot the dollar squares are winning . nice to see them outside are you going to flower in them ?

Hiya Socal :) No...Those pots are just temp homes for the smaller plants that I don't have beds ready for yet.
Im a poor man at the moment so...not alot of money for soil...so...that doesnt help......

But I make do the best I can :)

Those few dozen pots are sitting in a big bed.. it more needs a little more soil.....
But its getting all the Nute run off from the potted plants. So that works out.;)

You seem to be doing just fine . Ive been buddin on a budget for years and as you know its not about how much money you have but what you can do with what you have . You must have alot of room for beds. whats going to keep the pillars off of them ?

Chit thats a good question Val...
I wish I could afford to cover the whole garden with Big mosquito net hoop house.;)
But for now its just Spinosad and Safer Caterpillar...

Yeah I never understood that when it comes to baking canna cookies. Some people say bake it at regular temp. and some say bake it at a low temp. like 300 deg. for longer. I always bake them at 300 deg. but still feel like I may be degrading THC although cookies are still potent. I use my vaporizer at 350 deg. so I figure at 300deg. most of the THC will be viable.
Anyone know the truth on what temp to bake cookies and if THC is being lost?(sorry a little of topic Ken)

No problem at all Neb.:)
I Think I remember my crock pot gets about 190 on medium when I make Canna butter and My canna olive oil.

But I have made some pretty potent brownies and baked them at 325...so ...

Highly inspiring thread! It's nice to see such large, healthy plants growing out in the sun instead of under lights in a basement.

Do you mind if I ask whether your grows are legal or not?

of course theyre legal. what kind of question is that?? california is hellaova state !

Not to many cooks here the internal temp is what's important here.
Perfect cookies are crispy on the out side soft on the inside.
Meaning inside temp diff.
Also 325 deg.F is only ovens temp not what your baking,
Use a infared temp gun, very cheap know and accurate.
Jm2c.

Yeah...Duh...I knew that. :) thanks for pointing it out to us.

Yes. The good folks of Cali voted to allow me grow my own meds. :)
I also grow for my wife and several other Medical Cannabis Patients

I just wish it was fed. legal

If we're talking cooking you should only cook at about 140 degrees, atleast thats what I've been told by a master pot chief :P. She instructed me to boil butter etc at 140 for 1 hour, and to never get to hot when combining it with lactose etc. After that process is done its a lot less volatile.

Ken Everything looks amazing :D

Aye, lower is definitely better. Some baking recipes just can't cook that low though and come out right though (ever try to bake a cake at 140?). I'm personally a fan of 'no-bake' recipes because then you really maximize your potency.

Well my point was after you make the butter, you can turn the temp up and dont risk loosing nearly as much potency.

Lol Ken no really the second u take the cookies out of the oven hit with the temp gauge maybe 200deg.
Remember a vap is what 325-355 but the stone is awesome.
Also the tch is in a diff.state when in budda "more stable" .
I remember my buddy kdub telling a story about cookies a friend gave him he made the mistake of eating 2 when he had the munchies ohh boy he laid on the floor for 5 hours.

I love the passion we all have for this plant! I threw out the idea of deep fried nuggets as a total joke and the next thing you know people are giving it serious consideration. I mean anything fried is good, right?
