Thoughts on setting up a grow tent in the basement?

Just wanted to know what you guys think of having a grow tent in the basement for the summer months? I have plenty of circulation and a humidifier if it gets low. It stays about 65°-70° without any lights or fans. I have to move due to my room gets to cold from AC. It's just a little 2x2x5 tent. Any thoughts I'm curious to hear input. Thanks guys

If your basement is spacious I'd get a 5x5 tent. And use your smaller one to veg and the big one to flip. If you have enough circuits for power down there you might aswell use them. If you get dialed in you don't even have to grow during summer.

I'm just growing 1 plant for personal use. I live in subsidized housing and need to keep it hush. This was my last grow. I did it in my bedroom and it didn't feel right with me. To much noise lol plus I sleep with my TV on and ac blasting.

Ahhh. Well it's important to keep the smell down. Find a strain that grows bulky and is tolerant of your regions humidity. And you can get 4" fans that are pretty quiet and add silenced ducting if you need to. Basement should be perfect.

65-70 is fine, might slow growth a little, raise it up if the floor is colder.

I have a carbon filter silencer it literally cuts the sound down by 50% i'm so glad I bought it.

You’ll be fine. Just keep an eye on humidity and keep the air flowing 24/7.

If you’re able to control temp and humidity levels check out VPD charts and give it a try.

Basement should be fine, I usually need a dehumidifier especially in the middle of summer.

The basement sounds ideal for your grow

Basement grower in MA here too. It’s a very steady environment so I find it ideal. It does get cold during winter.

It was getting down to 50 but I only had 1 light just upgraded to 4 today. It’s like 72 in there now. This is in my garage too so not a real basement.

The only problem I ever had growing in the basement during the summer is high RH which wasn't good for dense buds. Using a dehumidifier 24/7 is expensive.
