Tiny black spots on fan leaf?

I have tiny black spots on both sides on a couple of leaves on the bottom of one plant. Last week I found 11 Fungus Gnats and just started treating with Diatomaceous earth and B.T. I. Are theses little black spots related to the Fungus Gnats or do I have another problem?

I always thought black spots are spider mites? Usually on the underside of fan leaves.

Probably some kind of insect excrement but they're so freaking much of it / picture of the whole plant would help

I've seen something similar.

The color is a bit yellower than is shown. Have some lower leaves turning yellow and when you look at them microscopically, this is what you see. They appear to be places where a pest has been sucking out plant fluids. Mostly on the upper surfaces.
