Ok so there is a product called microbe lift mc. It's basically the same thing as gnatrol but I've found it works better. However gnatrol is a solid product. Takes about a week to really get things under control. Conserve sc will do some real damage as well. Also beneficial nematodes love eating fungus gnat larva. Make sure u are using sticky cards to catch adults and u can add the inch or permits or sand to all ur pots. Another grower I know uses paint strainer bags from home depot. Basically mosquito netting. Wrap ur pots and u have a physical barrier. To be honest though unless we are talking seedlings they don't do much damage unless we are talking an infestation of epic proportions. Lol. Hope that helps brother. Any 2 or a combination of the above should do the trick for u. Good luck bro.Hey T ,i dont know if iv asked you this before, probably have and i cant remember, but what would you suggest to get rid of fungus gnat larvea in the root zone?im open to anything as long as ots no too extreme.thanks Tnelz.
ik thinkin it has to be something else. I got a clone mothered it took 3 clones killed the mother. 1 of the 3 clones I took is showing it the 3 have never been more than 6 inches away from each other for the last 3 months but only one out of 6 plants in the room is showing this. Its not progressing only on 3 leaves and showin no ill effects not turning yellow brown crispy dying off or anything
Hey bro. Gnatrol is natural it's a fungus or something. As is microbelift. If u can't get either pm me ur address and I'll get u half a bottle no problem.Yeah well i was of that opinion too but wen im transplanting cuts from my cloner or running seeds theyr definetley not as vigorous as they should be.a bad infestation can take the vigor from a full grown plant and affect yeilds.theyr just starting to get a bit much so i need to keep em in check and you gave me solid advice in the past so here i am asking for more advice.lol.and as i expected,i got more good advice.i,ll see if the gnatrol and other products are available to me.nematodes is my usual remedy as i like to keep things natural whenever possible but i want to get these wee shites under control pronto.
thanks tnelz your a gent.
Were do you get the soil thats pre charged with nematodes @Toaster79 ?I get those fuckers every year at about same time. Lost a few seedligs due to them and high temperatures. A single yellow sticky usually takes care of them, but my soils is precharged with nematodes and predatory mites (H. Miles). Never had an outbreak or anything like that, just a few suckers flying around here and there.
Hope you get things in control @happy b
Keep it green!

Thanks T man.8 weeks no feed?cant grumble there.Sorry happy for not answering your question. I buy it at a local house&garden store. It's about £10 for a 20L bag. I know it's not cheap but I don't feed my plants in veg which is about 8 weeks even with reused soil amended with some fresh and EWC. It's a German product so I'm guessing it could be found locally where you live otherwise try amazon.
Good karma
That's genius. Seriously. Are those something that can be purchased. I'd for sure buy a couple. Have u tried merit on the ants? I'd gladly send u some of necessary. Let me know. One of my homies makes light traps attached to sticky cards for flying insects. They're UV LEDs just below spectrum that effects plants- like 390 nanometers I think- and they're equipped with a light sensor so when the grow lights go out the trap lights go on. It's pretty simple and works amazingly well.

Tested them cautiously until I was satisfied they indeed did not affect flowering plants' photosensitivity in any way. Now I always have a couple in my flowering rooms just as a precaution to alert me immediately if the gnats are present.
I have an ant colony invading my house, and I poisoned them so they're currently in the stage where they send out flyers looking for new place to host a colony. So I set up a uv trap right near the access point- check out these nasty bastards:View attachment 521118

The light traps used in conjunction with gnatrol the gnats don't stand a chance. Never around for more than a week when used together.
Check out my IG post for more info on the traps. That's genius. Seriously. Are those something that can be purchased. I'd for sure buy a couple. Have u tried merit on the ants? I'd gladly send u some of necessary. Let me know.
