I've not yet encountered any strain that is truly finished at 8 weeks. Not saying they don't exist, just that I've not grown them. Even when I'm told 8/9 weeks I still believe the plant is better when taken to 10 weeks. Generally speaking, IMO those extra 2 weeks are the difference between a 1 hour high and a three hour high. They may not bulk up any more in the last week, but they mature and the resin develops the full spectrum of active compounds which make the high worthwhile. I HATE underdeveloped cannabis, talk about paranoid inducing, early harvested grass makes me uncomfortable and agitated around even my closest friends. Basically the opposite of medicine. This right here is precisely why I avoid sativas. Talk about throwing me into an anxiety attack from hell. I use cannabis to alleviate those issues not to exacerbate them. I've had G13 and that was a decent smoke though I don't think it was grown to it's potential. The dispensaries here are right in line with all the other places it seems that pull at 8 weeks regardless of strain or plant maturity. Just after pushing product out the door to make that money. Makes it a real deal breaker for legitimate medical users imo.
I've got a heri x lbl that I can't wait to grow. It's from mota. As I said earlier @NaturalTherapy I read someone earlier talking about Ssh being to strong. My ssp is without question Ssh dominant and the high is amazing. Truly soaring but not anxiety inducing. I think the most important thing is genetics. Get a sativa from a reputable place and I'm sure u will have a better experience. And go easy. With the ssp three hits is enough to get u to cloud nine but I can see it being too much if u smoked to much ya know. Just my two cents.
Thanks again for the help and suggestions guys!!! I believe I will try the Tranquil Elephantizer then. Why not.
@Junk I always like to pull as late as possible and still be in "the window". No milky for me xD. (think I'm in the minority here, not sure)
Btw ... I just picked up some bud called "jabbas stash" one bowl and i was gone... Lil harsh like hash in a pipe. But the potency is def there. Anyone heard of this strain before?
Im not a big fan of blue dream myself. And lately sour d has been turning me off. I smoked a cut of green crack once that def got me motivated up and moving. But it only lasted bout an hour after a fat bowl, and got less and less effective as time went by. So i feel as though there is a GOOD 11 week, specific needs sativa that is soaring.
Ssh is great but not an energetic mtoivator in my mind. Too hazy lol
I am searching... I heard green ribbon is good for energy. But never see it in circulation.
A real sativa needa da HEAT and room to grow. Different kind of love. I feel like most folks got their rooms accustomed to growing indicas cause theres a bigger demand. Most cash crop growers i know cut at 8 weeks regardless of strain and i feel like the sativa doesnt get its chance to shine indoors.
I would really dig finding a good racy sativa that keeps you up and moving. You hear the old school growers talking about it all the time, ive read about them plenty of times. Do you think the mythical energy stimulating sativa exists?

a selfforced break due to security paranoia is what got me to stop lurking and posting lol, funny how that works. You and me have the same mindset regarding cookies its fire fo sure imo, but not worth it in my setup to ever have a cut of her going from what I figure, threw out the cookies in a tray my boy sent, to make more room for the True and Banana OGs(which both got trashed during a move).Cheers man, I been kind of quiet on forums for a while. Some security concerns made me paranoid and I deleted most of my stuff off the interwebs. Kind of feel bad for the few breeders who I tested for, deleting solid info sucks but so does being paranoid because of shady personalities.
I love smoking cookies when they're grown right, but I'll probably never grow it. Some of the crosses seem dope, especially the white X cookies going around. I think The White is all around one of three top Indicas I've experienced growing/smoking- I like pretty much everything it's crossed to. Props to Krome for preserving that one for the community.
I love OG Chem and Diesel lines, but there are so many other good lines to explore, it's as if the experience of cannabis is becoming homogenized into just being dopey as fuck, sleeper Indica that give me munchies and make me sleepy. But a lot of my friends don't have the same taste or opinion of experience. To many folks, high is high, and it either works or it doesn't. I guess I'm a bit more sensitive to the nuances of different chemotypes, or maybe just more affected than others by cannabis.
Us growers are snobs lol, not even joking, even compared to most "connoisseurs". I may not be medical, but Florida can have some serious heavy still (when we aint gettin last years norcal scraps). Even when I heard guys exclaiming they just picked up the most fire, I can pick out what i still like and dont like about the chemotype. Not shitting on other growers, but most normies will settle and be fine for high D low C grade everyday dank. Us growers who are passionate go for the gusto... Nothing but the best comparatively will do.
I will def check it out. I love euphoria. It may be that though years of hardcore polydrug use, I've fried that part of my brain.Just throwing this in bro but sat leaning lime skunk . Is what I smoke when I got shit to do . It's a euphoric up .
Good lookin out lol, almost gave em too much creditfixed that for ya...
Go to the seed catalog I've seen it before on the advertisement up top. ?Btw ... I just picked up some bud called "jabbas stash" one bowl and i was gone... Lil harsh like hash in a pipe. But the potency is def there. Anyone heard of this strain before?

Any strain I will tend to pull at the late end I guess. I had a laymen friend ask "when do you pull" and I replied "When it looks old", heh. I suppose I have a GTH 1 that is pretty far sativa leaning and I pull it @ 18 weeks (listing is something like 11-14). I guess if it's a strain I can scope (turns properly) then I leave it out if I can find much of any cloudy. Are you talking about pulling Sativa's late? So that you get less of the racing mind-slow body effect?
I honestly hate seeing people pull at 60. Now that I really know how to grow its like I don't even really start checking until at least 65. Things lately have been going 70plus. In the past 18 months I've gone from really good weed to exceptional. Obviously a lot to do with my genetics but it's awesome when u come to the realization that u grows this shit.
