I make mine by hand. The gws extract was made by someone else in PA.

I took my lower grade bubble and some keif and decarbed it then threw it in a jar with coconut oil. simmered in water bath for a couple hours to make me some canna oil for some caps. Really like these things, way better than most edibles I've tried. Took a bunch (10 or so) and almost went to space a few nights ago, hahah

All sorts of comments that would have been fun to pop in with, but no sense dragging up old stuff, haha.

Ok. I have time to do some more updates with some things I'm working on.

So, I'm running the test of my new bubbler and since I couldn't decide on an alternative plug; I ended up using all I could find. I'm testing Rockwool, Rapid rooters, root riot and super starter plugs. All cuts for the test were taken from the same plant, same height, same length, same health etc (also from fuel as it's more picky to root). They are just at the point of first roots showing; Rockwool was first. Root riot and rapid rooters both showed visible roots the next day; but rapid rooters are slightly stronger. No visible roots on the super starter plugs yet.

Quick notes on the plugs themselves. Root riot and rapid rooters seem to be very similar in texture, density, porosity etc; whereas the super starter plugs are notably less porous and don't seem as "held together". As far as air flow through these (based on precipitation on surface from airflow) super starter plugs allow the most air, followed by rapid rooters, then root riot.

Last with the cloners. I just came up with another whole system design yesterday and I'm going to start getting the pieces together for testing it. The goal here will be to "optimize the environment" for the cuts and is a sort of "mashup" of various things I've messed with / read about. I will test, my current peat / coir net pots, all 3 "jello plug" brands, rockwool and neoprene bare stem.

Ok with the previously posted formula; I now have enough specimens through this, that I'm going to continue testing to see if there is a more optimal ratio of nitrate forms. First will be to lower the NH4 slowly, without altering total NPK,Ca,Mg (I.E. only changing urea to ammonia to nitrate ratios...which is a PITA, btw). As well, I have a profile sitting that can test nitrate and urea without any ammonia. Since I have already tested varying ammonia and nitrate proportions and know there is no effect there; I'm interested to see if there are effects with just urea and nitrate. Though any research about the varying forms (related to use efficiency or toxicity); did not see benefits unless all 3 were present.
As well, I've evolved the new profiles to NOT include MG (for now to try); but instead use JR Peters salts for the urea. However, I'm noting much more pH up drift than normal; I will have to see if that's related to the new components or that I may have gotten urea reducing bacteria into my res.

The first fuel to have gotten the Urea formula can have comparisons and data presented. I could easily talk for a whole page about the changes with this one; but will try to keep it short.

First: The tops from the first run of this fuel were shown before (on NO3) and I still have 2 of the tops from that pic.
It was posted back HERE (buds on the LEFT of the lighter, right side is pheno 2 of 2 and will be done shortly).
As well I posted pics of this fuel while it was growing with the urea formula HERE. (also previous post on this subject)
Now for pics. Also remember this is the other "hold back" too.

Below are some of the largest tops from this fuel Pheno 1 of 2; grown with urea formula.

Since I still have 2 of those original NO3 tops from this fuel; I also took a pic of the NO3 Fuel and Urea formula together for direct comparison. NO3 grown original (previously shown) is on LEFT and are the same tops from before. Urea formula tops are on RIGHT.

The total weight on this fuel with NO3 and from a bean was; 50. The total weight on this fuel with Urea formula and a hold back cut was; 53.
The previous headband pheno and this fuel now represent the ONLY 2 times that I've had a hold back cut, exceed the yield of a properly treated plant from a bean (without some user error of course).

Last here with this particular plant I would like to cover some data points as to changes I saw.
First, with the NO3 original plant; this pheno was NOT chosen to be a keeper for a couple reasons.
A. It had some negatives to form, in that there were tight clusters but a bit of "gapping" in middle cola sections I did not like; that the other fuel pheno did not have (attributed to geno / pheno not nutes).
B. This pheno of fuel DID hermy some late into the game (wk 7+) and that all the hermies were on the top colas and external portions.
C. it had less diesel flavor and seemed possibly more CBD as compared to the other pheno.
D. This plant exhibited "slightly" more indica dominance than the other pheno (larger calyx, slightly broader leave, more apical dominance, more rounded / clubbish form. E. Yielded less than other pheno.

To compare these points with urea formula vs no3.
A. The negative to form (mid gapping) that was seen with NO3, carried directly across with urea. No improvement. Though I believe it can be corrected, now that I know it carried; starting urea later may help. (by chance I have another of these on the floor....will see).
B. This is probably (to me) one of two most important changes seen with this plant. With Urea, this plant still DID hermy some; however where and when was totally changed. It was quite the sneaky plant and I didn't see it until after drying; though I was watching the tops for it. Instead of hermying after week 7; it "must have" hermied in week 4-6. I.E it hermied when it was getting the Urea formula. However and get this; All of the male organs grew out of "pre-flower" sites and NOT the buds!!!??? These only grew in a few areas (no more so total than with NO3) and only grew on lower "larf" areas. So, the result and how I noticed was that it had some nicely developed seeds in the lowest larf; while there are NO male organs on the mid / top buds. (I always throw out hermy seeds; but kept these for the first time lol).
C. I am waiting still for a little cure time before comparing flavor / buzz on this...no data.
D. This is the other most important change seen with formulas. As you can see in the pic; the colas developed more of the classic pinecone shape rather than club like with NO3. Also, the calyx size was smaller and more inline with the second fuel pheno (which is more sat dom. slightly). Overall I would say this plant exhibited more sativa expression slightly than with NO3. TBH, it really made me question if I had accidentally switched cuts of the pheno as it resembled pheno 2 more now; but B. confirmed it the correct pheno.

(((First, I previously had mentioned a slight bitter with the most recent bulls that wasn't seen in the first MG test. I want to update that it went "away" in a few days. That was being tasted at around 12 days from pull and I hadn't medicated with any bull under 2 months cure; in a couple years. So, it was my dumb ass trying it too green still; nonetheless I did modify my week 6-9 a bit. )))

I've had a chance for patients to get a blind test of this. Since I've been running new stuff the last couple of years, I'm pretty much always handing them something without telling. When they ask "what is this"; i will say "I dunno, you tell me". Then that puts em' into "Sampling" mode xD. Plus i did some bullrider crosses recently, so that is even in their minds of possibility. Myself and patients have been using bull for 6 years+.
To give a couple examples;
My questions are usually then; "what do you think?", "what does it taste like?", after medication kicks in "what do you think of the effect?". Then since they get told what is different last.... "which do you like better?" (i.e. NO3 or Urea formula).
-One person said when asked (after a few hours, got opportunity) "that green hit was nice!", "It tasted hashy", "it's got a real strong body buzz", for which the prefer "oh, well I like this one (urea) as it seems "cleaner" to me"
(note this guy is associating the "narrower" profile and shift from earthy to hashy as cleaner).

-One person said "Oh wow, what the fuck is this", "I can taste a kind of fruity", we medicated on other then "I dunno, but that first stuff we tried kicked my ass" When told the difference and sampled again "oh yea, that's what bull's been missing". (I was then told that one of his patients has been telling him that bull hasn't been the same in a couple years. Sigh, why do you always hear about this AFTER it's over.)

-Personally I usually had other new stuff around over the last couple years and have medicated on various things more than bull. I didn't really think about it much but I would just always grab something else. However, I have not grabbed anything but this new formula over the last week. I agree with the other customer that bull has been missing something and it's back. I have no interest in ever smoking bull with NO3 again.
Taste wise. With NO3 bullrider was very "earthy" and full flavor; whereas now it is a straight hashy flavor. I'll take hashy.

Tr;Dl: with bull hands down no question, with yield, density, form, buzz, taste; Urea formula wins.

On a side note but to include; everyone has thought the flavor of headband pheno 1 of 2 (previously shown) has a better flavor / buzz also. But note again that with NO3 it had no real apparent flavor.

As a result of note B. in the fuel comparison: I now have a sneaking suspicion that some changes seen with the Urea formula, as being applied; might very well be related to hormonal (pgr) changes internally as much as ,if not more so, than being related to the 3 forms of nitrogen (and their impact on use efficiency or toxicity).
Since there is no documentation existing around the effects of what I'm seeing / testing already; I doubt I will ever find documentation revolving around this suspicion either.

Finally a couple updates with that bull I've been posting along the way. First a whole shot (not greatest) but you can see lower leaves and how they are "fading" from a nute perspective. Second is a close up shot from about mid level down from the top cola. You can see hairs are still viable, though about outta steam soon lol.

I have a lot of laplata labs gear and some other strains crossed with his gear from my buddy...neither of those strains but if you're interested, I got you. Have a a good bit of lemon alien crosses and a few alien bubba crosses...such as to wifi, headband and a couple others.

Have a crazy hybrid that I normally wouldn't see myself taking the time to mess with as too many genes in a pool frustrate me because working out the unwanted phenos is unwanted lol I'd have to check the order of which they are all crossed but c99 and blue velvet are both incorporated. Which each one is crossed to either lemon alien or alien bubba which was then all crossed to a lemon alien x bubba alien cross. Idk normally with that many different characteristics and traits I tend to stay away but la plata is loud and been trying to get my hand on c99 so would love to pull something leaning that way and see what everything else adds. Also the blue velvet is a want, would be cool to pull a c99 buzz and the velvets flowers and colors.

Which i can't remember the exact parental lineup but I know it's Pineapple Express x ? then x to ? But I have high hopes in keeping this strain alive, which leaves me to ask for some pointers popping old beans? Maybe file the edges slightly? Soaking in a paper towel because I can assure its constantly moist? Idk...I've popped old strains just doing it my way of throwing it in the dirt but I've also had failures and don't want to lose these. Would love to get some cuts out to grave so he can hopefully share them with you all,
