See? : ) lolA bigger harvest as opposed to growing __________________________________________________ ;) ?
If yield is the goal, that number is not super difficult.
Thanks buddy! The encouragement is always appreciated!! I've been really putting some SERIOUS love into this round and I think its showing!!!I'd just use water. Feed before you leave just as normal. Do not alter it. If the timing is not right, I would skip it.
Those are healthy beasts. They will be absolutely fine with just water for two weeks (much longer)
They will also be nice & ready for the feeding when you come back. What I do is increase that feeding by 5%, sometimes 10%
It's not even a question in my mind, that's what I would do.
& wow, those are some extraordinarily beautiful girls. I have to get your soil recipe for me mums.
Okay now is the part where I sound really stupid....When i water/feed im doing it thru the straw mulch right? Or do I lift a lil some up and put water under?
Secondly, when I top-dress before I leave, obvi thats under the mulch but should i kinda take it off then put it back on or just put new straw on? Please and thank you
oh and p.s. i ran out of Gro-Kashi and since I like the homey over at Slf-100 so much I figured i'd give his buddies Southern Oregon Bokashi a try...i think its a touch cheaper too! Ill let y'all know how it goes!!
AWESOME!! Thanks for the advice bro!! What do you think? prolly 2 tbls of ea per plant? maybe a lil more of EWC? And mayby a lil alfalfa meal? or no?Topdress with kelp and EWC... let the blumats drip through that.
I dont mess with my mulch too much... doing straw, I just dump on the dry amendments and shake the pot a bit to get it through the mulch.
found this interesting different microbes working at diff temps .
The Psychrophilic Stage
During winter months, cold-loving psychrophilic bacteria are often the only ones on the scene, and are usually found in temperatures between 0°C and 20°C. As they break down the organic matter a small amount of heat is generated, which slowly but surely builds. When the temperature hits 20°C it becomes too warm for the psychrophilic bacteria and mesophilic bacteria take over.
The Mesophilic Stage
This stage is often the first, especially if you start your compost during the summer. Mesophilic bacteria break down organic matter into proteins and carbohydrates, constantly generating heat as they do so. Once the temperature of the compost reaches 40°C, the mesophilic bacteria are replaced by heat-loving thermophilic bacteria.
The Thermophilic Stage
Thermophilic bacteria break down organic matter extremely quickly and as a result, the temperature rises fast and the breakdown of proteins, fats and complex carbohydrates accelerates. When the supply of high-energy compounds is depleted, the temperature starts to drop, which sees the thermophilic bacteria disappear and the mesophilic bacteria return.
The Curing Stage
The curing stage sees the mesophilic bacteria sharing the workload with fungi and actinomycetes, and together they break down the remaining organic matter. The longer the curing stage, the more diverse its microbial community will be, meaning healthier and more nutrient-rich soil.
I just read all this somewhere..where'd you get this from?
They had to have taken that info from somewhere else bc I didn't read it there...who knows, short term mem aint what it used to be...Brokashi web site lol. Not sure of its potency but at $12 a kilo i can buy 15 kilos of this for the same price as 1 tub of great white . just need to do some research on it actual effectivness .Anyone try this stuff . feedback opinions , please @Tnelz no cant get grokashi here or og special sauce .
Thanks bro!!alfalfa might be hot to put in any real amount, but you cannot go too heavy on the kelp. It wont burn.

how did that Floralicious plus work out for you? Ive Heard good things about it.Have any of you tried floralicious plus? I just got a free 8oz bottle of it and thought what the hell I'll give it a shot. If anyone has tried it, what did you think of it?
It's great stuff man.how did that Floralicious plus work out for you? Ive Heard good things about it.
The flora series is def strong yes. Go easy and I'd consider the Lucas method for ease but start at half or quarter strength and work your way up.I just ordered some goi.g to give it a try with gh flora series ,is it strong stuff ?
