@BlackSheepOG ...hey buddy lastly is there a plug that connects the main wire to the to breaker boxes?? or is it just "wired" in>?

Nope it's all wired, inside your main box you will have all your breakers and a main breaker, behind the metal panel lies a bunch of wires and bus's is what they are called, you will pull that panel off and on one side there will be a white wire which is neutral, your copper which is ground and black that is hot will go to the breaker. Before touching anything flip the main but do not touch the wires leading to main as they will still be hot unless you have another shut off. Black always goes to breaker, copper goes to 1 bus, white goes to other bus. 240 is almost the same except it's black and red go to breaker and copper and white go to the bus, they can go on the same bus though unlike the 110. To snap a new breaker in you will put the back in first and then press down on the front, you want to hear a slight snap so you know it's in place, don't force it or you will break the tabs, it should have a lil friction when going in but not to much.

@Lazerus00 no worries man glad to help out. Wouldn't hurt to have some wire nuts on hand but you shouldn't need them as you wont have any junction boxes, all your wires will be hard wired into outlets or timers and breakers, but it never hurts to have them or some electrical tape on hand :D

@Lazerus00 I can tell you that $1100 was way out of the ball park, I mean fuck even including labor that was outrageous. You can source those parts cheaper I'm sure but just wanted you to know what you needed bro.

Don't use it on runs over 24", 10/3 Romex doesn't need conduit to fit code.

I should explain this a little better, you can use it on runs longer but not needed, also it's a real bitch feeding 6/3 through conduit if there are any bends, if it's a straight run you can use it but get a lil bigger conduit to give ya some wiggle room.

That's a pretty honest quote frankly. Especially moving the juice down to the sub panel, and wiring up all the outlets, that shit takes a while. I paid family 1/4lb for getting it done in about 6 hours, start to finish, and he didn't waste any time.

Yup considering you gotta work about 10 years in the trade to get licensed its pretty reasonable for a sparky.just know that even if you trip the main breaker off there will still be enough juice at the top of that panel to kill ya so def watch a few youtube vids on replacing breakers and running a sub panel.theres a shitload of good vids on the subject.when you arc a tool across 240v it becomes stuck/welds itself to the 2 lugs and can cause a serious explosion or fire so watch some vids at the very least please.

Man you guys must have some ridiculous labor rates where you're at. I called around and priced it around me at a few local shops and the highest quote I could get was $800 for everything.

@Lazerus00 do you have another shut off anywhere? Like at my house I wired it up so it goes meter-panel-main panel. That extra panel allows me to kill power to my entire main panel so even if I did touch anything it's all dead. That's the best way to do it if you're gonna go through all this trouble. If you've never watched someone mess with electricity then I'd try finding someone you could watch. It's not hard but if you've never done it or seen it done it can be confusing and over powering. I'm sure I could walk you through it but I'd feel horrible if something went wrong. Not saying I won't help but yea.

You could always source all those pieces I showed you and then call around and get quotes for them to come hook it up. Hell you could even buy all those parts and hook everything up but the feed coming into your main. That's probably what I'd do in your case is run every thing without live power and just leave enough feed line by your main box for an electrician to hook it up. Wouldn't cost much for them to tie in your sub panel box if everything else is already run.

@BlackSheepOG yeah CO is booming right now, labor wages are strong. But a qp costs 70 some dollars for me to grow, so it was more than fair so far as I can see it. Gotta love barter

Now see I could agree with that, I love to trade my services for other services, but in lazs case his friend owes him and he's still charging him that much so I don't see that as fair, especially when he's offering to pay for all the parts. I understand he's gotta make a living just like the rest of us but it's also nice to help out one another from time to time.

Hey guys I need a quick answer, if I wanted this to be a good canopy, how long should I wait to throw her in the tent with the other one? she is about as big as I think I could fit her. I just cleaned everything up and tied her over.
I need some advice on this.
