Jack's is awesome imo, I know a few people here running it, @Tnelz is actually about to run it. Was just trying to unconfuse the situation. Lol

Molasses if applied wrong will act like a lead blanket and kill off your microbes so definitely less is more. So a little bit goes along way, I only add molasses to teas and never into my feed solutions I use Aphrodite's extraction instead.

So in my case watering/feeding is tea only, would you use molasses everytime or less frequently? Let's say I use 1tsp/gal. I've never used molasses before, but have some on the way and just want to be sure not to overdo it. In this case I'll also drop use of Epsom and stick to amino only foliar.

If youre running teas only then molasses is fine, its just mainly a food source for the microbes to eat and multiply. They should in theory eat a bunch of it. I use molasses in my teas at 1-1.5 tsp/gal as well. I think power was talking about adding molasses as a supplement being detrimental

Well if your using it at that rate in a tea, you will be fine the brewing process helps break it down into a non harmful food. But I wouldn't just add a tablespoon of molasses into a gallon of water then feed that's when u could be asking for trouble imo or I've been asked if its ok to put a tablespoon of molasses directly into soil and that is a no no imo as well.Go watch nectar for the gods videos on monster garden's YouTube channel very informative there's 2 vids. Very informational

I tell ya fellas......I am no expert at all......it just seems like many people are over thinking the entire process......I read people saying kiss but some of the questions are issues that should only be confronted when u are fine tuning one particular strain or another.....again I am no expert but I have never experienced 90% of these problems in the last 15 years......just my 2 cents

So when making tea, which is puting a teabag in water and let it sit for 24+ hours, should I first dissolve 1 teaspoon molasses in warm water, let it cool to the room temperature and than drop that teabag in and let it sit for 24+ hours, should be just fine? Im making 1,5l teat at a time and dilute it to 2l later. So that would make like 1/2 tablespoon/gallon of molasses.

Sounds about right to me. Are you doing aerated compost tea or just steeping it passively? Adding air stones to the equation will make the tea much more active and give the microbes a great advantage to multiply as opposed to passive teas from what I've read. I always bubble my brews with a air pump and stones that bubble a minimum of 90 gallons per hour

I've also read and heard that brewing ACT (ewc, molasses) for 12-20hrs results in a more bacterial dominant tea, where after 24 hrs it starts to be more fungal dominant. I've been taking my teas at 20hrs based on recommendations from the guys who've been doing it a lot longer than me like waayne and cap

Yes i'd definitely get a air pump and stone to your tea, or just stir every so often for 48hrs, it takes longer to get same effect without a air stone. Still affective just takes alil longer

I brew my teas in stages
stage one
-1 gallon of Creek water
-1 tblsp of black strap
-1 tsp alfalfa meal

Stage 2 (24 hours later)
-1 tsp fish fert
-1 tsp of kelp meal
-1/4 cup of my fermented vegan secret sauce
-2 tblsp of granular Mico
-1/2 cup worm castings
- 1/2 cup mushroom compost
- 1 tblsp humic acid
- 10 drops of cal/mag

Stage 3 (24 hours later)
- Filter the mix leaving small chunks
- add 1 gallon of Creekwater given me 2 gallons of tea and
That's it !!!!
This tea is aerated the whole 72 hours and works great for me.
I use it about once a week or every other watering.
Cheers

Hey fellas. So a bro just brought something to my attention and I feel like it's very important. First all you need to grow great stuff is good genetics a good light a solid medium and some nutes. I really want to continue to stress keeping it simple. Base nutrients Cal or Cal mag product and maybe a silica source for veg. Same products plus a pk boost for bloom. It's really easy. The more things u add be it a different veg Booster or root Booster or co2 or whatever makes it harder to diagnose a problem when one pops up. Keep it simple is the best advice I can give. Taking it a little further. When u r using a multi bottle nutrient follow the schedule provided. If u want to deviate from that don't change dosages just dilute the mixture be it by half or a quarter. Learn ur strains. If u r getting Def something is off. 9 times out of 10 it's a pH issue imo. Not a my plant needs more of this or that. I use 50 different things but I've been doing this for over a decade. I love adding this or that to my teas and foliar but there is a reason that I can give u for each additive I use because I've used them 10 million times. So for tea ewc, Molasses or some sugar product and water with an air stone. If u want to add a little kelp or alfalfa that's fine but I think u should stop there untill u really get a handle on growing and what the strains u r growing like. So we need to walk before we can run. I'm seeing problems popping up for people that shouldn't be and it's just my opinion ur getting ahead of ur self. It was hard for me to take this same advice when I first started but once I did it was smooth sailing

Couple things that will make things easier for u. Get yourself a bag of dolomite lime. I suggest getting crushed oyster shells but for some that's hard so dolomite will work. Add 2 teaspoons per gallon of medium. U will hear all types of dosages but when using lime imo a little less is better. Anyway mix it into ur medium before planting. This will take care of 3 very important things. It will keep ur pH balanced and buffered to the proper levels so u don't have to worry. It will also supply ur plant with all the Cal and mag it will need untill u transplant again. This 1 thing covers some very important bases. Good luck and positive vibes to all.

Absolutely keep it simple, but if you have questions this the rite place to ask, whether it's to help diagnose a def or if it's about products or techniques, this is a place for us to share and help each other. I only know so much because of places like this and a lot of time and hard work.

Thank @Tnelz ...i've asked tons of questions and have at time gotten a lil ahead of myself and really appreciate you being honest in saying slow your roll. I can never nor would I ever argue with any of you guys that have been growing 5 10 15 years especially since this is my first cycle, so again i wanna say THANK YOU to all you guys that help me out!!..now on to something i noticed a lil while ago when my lights came on..Not sure if you can really see it in the picture but it seems like the outer side of one top leaf point is becoming a lil shade lighter green. the rest of the plant looks normal and i was looking over those charts you guys were talking about earlier but nothing seemed quite like what this leaf is doing esp since its only one leaf, one point, and one side of the point..lemme know if i need better pics..please and thank you
