The Federal Govt has scheduled marijuana as having no medicinal value.

Really...

Scientists are looking for single compounds they can extract and synthesize... the entourage effect in cannabis thwarts their efforts to patent single compounds. Until they get these patents, they will not admit to its benefits.
You cannot patent something that is already "public domain". see link below.

Hey everybody! I just wanted to let you all know that are Yorkie got attacked by a 90 pound to 100 pound boxer last night there wasn't any blood but she got herniated really bad or bowels were outside of her stomach wall. We were able to get her into the emergency vets last night and we're able to get an emergency credit card for the vet so she could have surgery. The neighbors admitted that their boxer killed my fiancé's family's chihuahua (their most beloved dog they have owned). We will be taking them to court for the attack, as they are responsible because of their shoddy fence work and uncorrected dog. I 100% believe the owners of the dog are responsible. Their dog came through the fence and under it to get my yorkie. I suffered a scratch and bruise somehow from the commotion, my mother-in-law is really shaken up, and my kids are scared. Pray that we can get the dog removed because if the courts won't take care of it, I WILL.

Dont kill the dog. I cannot condone that. Kill the owners if you must.

That has nothing to do with the Federal Govt. maintaining it has no medicinal value. I think I understand the connection you are trying to make...Big Pharma holds lobby, controls legislature etc. But we are talking about a few different faces here.

The FDA & DEA are the ones in charge of what schedule a drug is. With everything happening with cannabis all over the world, & that article I linked from a recent National Geographic, there is only so long those agencies can maintain that Cannabis is schedule 1. The facts prove otherwise. It's about how long we let it continue.

Once you get someone on a stage, or catch them on record, there is no way out of that argument. Quote the National Geographic article. Ask how it can continue to be regarded as no currently accepted medical use (it cures, not remission, but cures human brain cancer cells in 30% of cases. It put another 30% in remission. There were almost no intolerable side effects. There is no other drug that does that. Point out it's scheduling is a severe impediment to studying how much of a medicine it can be.

No matter what answer they give, they will look like an idiot to 80% of the world. Lobbyists or no lobbyists, it's just a matter of time.

Schedule I

Schedule I drugs, substances, or chemicals are defined as drugs with no currently accepted medical use and a high potential for abuse. Schedule I drugs are the most dangerous drugs of all the drug schedules with potentially severe psychological or physical dependence. Some examples of Schedule I drugs are:

heroin, lysergic acid diethylamide (LSD), marijuana (cannabis), 3,4-methylenedioxymethamphetamine (ecstasy), methaqualone, and peyote

Schedule II

Schedule II drugs, substances, or chemicals are defined as drugs with a high potential for abuse, less abuse potential than Schedule I drugs, with use potentially leading to severe psychological or physical dependence. These drugs are also considered dangerous. Some examples of Schedule II drugs are:

Combination products with less than 15 milligrams of hydrocodone per dosage unit (Vicodin), cocaine, methamphetamine, methadone, hydromorphone (Dilaudid), meperidine (Demerol), oxycodone (OxyContin), fentanyl, Dexedrine, Adderall, and Ritalin

Schedule III

Schedule III drugs, substances, or chemicals are defined as drugs with a moderate to low potential for physical and psychological dependence. Schedule III drugs abuse potential is less than Schedule I and Schedule II drugs but more than Schedule IV. Some examples of Schedule III drugs are:

Products containing less than 90 milligrams of codeine per dosage unit (Tylenol with codeine), ketamine, anabolic steroids, testosterone

Schedule IV

Schedule IV drugs, substances, or chemicals are defined as drugs with a low potential for abuse and low risk of dependence. Some examples of Schedule IV drugs are:

Xanax, Soma, Darvon, Darvocet, Valium, Ativan, Talwin, Ambien, Tramadol

Schedule V

Schedule V drugs, substances, or chemicals are defined as drugs with lower potential for abuse than Schedule IV and consist of preparations containing limited quantities of certain narcotics. Schedule V drugs are generally used for antidiarrheal, antitussive, and analgesic purposes. Some examples of Schedule V drugs are:

cough preparations with less than 200 milligrams of codeine or per 100 milliliters (Robitussin AC), Lomotil, Motofen, Lyrica, Parepectolin

rescheduling is no answer.

can you produce a schedule 2 narcotic at home without legal interference?

that would be an end to all of us currently legal growers.

rescheduling just hands it all off to bayer and gw pharma.

The truth brought to you by http://www.laweekly.com/news/mythbu...-origin-and-a-whole-lot-of-false-ones-4177495

The true birth of 420 dates back to the early 1970s, when it became the hour of cannabis consumption among high school students in San Rafael. Even in mellow Marin County, stronghold of the Grateful Dead, no concessions were made to allow puffing during school hours.

So a group of stoners calling themselves "the Waldos" — because they liked to hang out in front of a wall — would pass each other in the halls, exchanging knowing glances and muttering "420 Louis!" One told the San Francisco Chronicle in 2000, "It was just a joke, but it came to mean all kinds of things, like, 'Do you have any?' or 'Do I look stoned?' " They used 420 as a code word for their activities and the time said activities would take place.

The group met in front of the statue of 19th-century French scientist Louis Pasteur, as well as other spots on school grounds, to get high at 4:20 p.m. It's said that the pack of teens would sometimes roam the campus, searching for a rumored marijuana patch.

The term "420" was widely in use by the end of the 1970s. Deadheads spread it outward like a virus from their San Rafael ground zero. Within a decade, pot smokers were using it across the country and around the world.

The stoner bible High Times started using the term "420" as early as 1990, and later bought the website 420.com, which includes videos, news, horticulture tips, activism and conspiracy links ("Will the LAPD Have Armed Drones Hunting Suspects?").

Various members of the Waldos have surfaced over the years, showing letters with postmarks from the 1970s that refer to "420" to authenticate their claims. Sources as reputable as Wikipedia and Snopes.com have also confirmed this origin story.

No, that's not what I mean. I just posted the schedule list so that people could see how ridiculous the govt. treats cannabis.

The FDA and DEA control what is scheduled & what is not. It shouldn't be re-scheduled, it should be de-scheduled.

I'm a couple days early but the maximum yield show is Sunday in Boston at the Hynes Convention center. Massachusetts is in the dark ages of the "green wave" so this is a great chance to see all the new gear and great products in one place, plus bargains galore!
I'm offering an open invitation to my fellow farmers to join me next door at the capital grille for a drink ( on me) between 4 and 5. Tnelz I'll be looking for you bro and any and all farmers! See you there!

Stumpy don't kill anyone's dog man, you feel however you felt when that dog was attacking yours and you were sure it was going to die. Should someone kill us for doing the same to the animal? And how would that family feel...you're destroying a bond somewhere that's going to hurt. I feel like they should pay any bills, and now buy a fence. You now see how the dog got into your fence so maybe fix that as well? Prevent it from happening again but not at the sake of its life. That's life man, if those dogs were wild it would happen that way, are lethalizing or whatever else is man made practices that are wrong. I don't believe in putting dogs down if they are mean. Just saying. Not criticizing, just would hate to see you post that you had the dog killed. I don't want to think about it.

Wanna talk fucked up scheduling?
How is LSD schedule 1 and xanax, soma, and valium sched 4?

^^^That's rediculous^^^

Dependency on LSD higher than xanax...lol
The fact that cannabis is a schedule I is total hypocracy. With most states acknowledging it's medical use. Your telling me that if I smoke a joint it's going to lead me to use oxycodone (scheduled II) or cocaine(scheduled II or amphetamines (scheduled II)?

The entire thing is messed up....Unbelievably bad. You can, & people do, die from xanax withdrawal. This was not my experience, but I know many an ex-junkie who had a harder time getting off Benzo's than smack.

What we need is someone like myself, & I'm sure many others on the forum, who have a lengthy & thorough history with these drugs to do the scheduling.

These drugs are all scheduled below cannabis. Which means the govt is saying they have a lower potential for abuse & are less dangerous

Cocaine, Methamphetamine, Methadone, Dilaudid, Demerol, OxyContin, Fentanyl,

Meth wasn't a thing when I was in the scene (thank god). But anyone, I don't care who you are, who tells me that cannabis is more dangerous & addictive than those drugs above...I will school you. I've done them all (except meth but I think that speaks for itself). I've probably done all those listed at the same time, along with some of the schedule 1's.

I don't see anyone homeless, on Intervention, or whose life is falling apart because of physical effects of using cannabis.

Take 1,000 people off the street. Put an unlimited supply of Coke, Oxy, & cannabis in front of them. Let them get high on coke, oxy, & cannabis, at different times (not all at once) Then ask them which, if any, they would like to use again.

If less than 900 people said coke or oxy, I'd eat my hat. But really, to be scheduled the way it is, 400 people would have to be unstoppable on that cannabis. Blunt after blunt.

I guarantee that's not going to happen. Coke & Oxy highjack dopamine. You can't get enough.

People aren't turning tricks for an eighth of cannabis. I've seen many a guy & girl do some serious things they didn't want to, for more coke or oxy.

The only way that current scheduling makes any sense at all, is if the cannabis in schedule 1 is being laced with coke, heroin, & meth.
