Id put my money on it being hungry for more nutes or ph related issues involving nitrogen availability. Any other element deficiency like K or P. would show spots instead of clean even yellowing in my experience. @gravekat303 if it was me id give it a low ppm flush double checkin for correct ph then work my way back up to high ppms. it really looks just plain hungry to me

@gravekat303 did you stop giving it N? when you flip are you using a stronger light? when I first started earlier this year, when I got my hps and finally threw them under it every single one yellowed up.. I'm thinking that the stronger light increased growth rate and they sucked all the N that they had stored.. it was about week 3 all were completely pale yellow (8 of 9 were males anyways lol). sound familiar?

Quick question. I have a bunch of two week old seedlings, woukd I be okay to put my 400 watt hps above them in a 3×3×5 tent? I have a fan on light helping cool and a fan blowing cool air in from outside. I also have the window open in the room and it's like 30 degrees outside. So would I burn them or will they appreciate the extra light??? In another day I'll have another fan for in there in just waiting on it.

Pimp T is right. Shes hungry as can be.
I see not only a classic N deficiency, but also a phosphorus deficiency. The phosphorus deficiency is what is causing the leaf necrosis. If it was pH we would see more issues, imo.
Won't hurt to flush, but I bet a good feeding cures her.

Start light up high as possible. Ease it down slowly over a few days.

I'm gonna chop pineapple express, ghost og and pineapple kush around the same day (day 75) that's simply too many strains for me to take tester cuts and keep my head on straight.

I find testing stuff that way to be difficult as well. I can't test some stuff, & try some taken a few days later & notice a difference. It may be just that my tolerance is so high that minor changes.

It doesnt smell in the house at all. The problem is that portable acs have an exhaust hose that blow hot air and its a high cfm fan it the ac that blows the exhaust air. Probably higher than the inline fan I have. The exhaust hose blows under my house and my garage has an access door to under the house. When I come into my garage with the ac on in the car it sucks in the smell and that smell sticks in the car. @Junk

I see...could you put some sort of reducer or series of reducers (technically, I mean the opposite of a reducer) to a cap filter? That way the exhaust the AC is putting out, the air getting into your cars, would be filtered? Those AC's usually have 4" ducting no? If so, it would just be a converted to a 6" & use a centrifugal fan to help the ac fan. Those portable units aren't designed to have a lot of air pressure exhausting, so if you were to run it to a cap filter, I think you would need to give the ac fan some assistance.

I let just about everything go 70+, but in all reality, I'd personally be more interested with the flushing aspect in the case you described, and I'd err on the side of cleanliness... lettin her go a few more days will only fuck with your patience... not your buds...

ahhhh finally caught up everyone has been killin it. my 3 monster cropped clones in flower aren't very monstery. maybe I didn't veg them long enough. I definitely didn't do any training lol. some goofy looking plants I'll tell ya.

so I've been looking into led, and I'm thinking I'm going to just go with the tried and true mh veg hps flower. I'm thinking 400 mh 600 hps. I think it might be easier to do a perpetual with those.. I'm thinking that unless someone can tell me a clear cut best led light, I'll just go mh/hps

In that case the way we can best help you is to see the area, or give us dimensions (LxWxH) of the room, what the ambient temp/RH is. Where the room is located in the house etc. Just for an example, if you were just running in a 4' x 4' (& cash wasn't an issue) the Kind K51000 would be fantastic. If you think you may alter the room size, HID is a good way to go. It's easy to daisy chain hoods. My electric rate may play a role, but even running 3k of hid light, my electric bill is under $250

So just a lil update..the girls are just starting their 3rd week of flower and everyone seems happy!! Loving the result and ease of use with Anbessa nutes!!

Okay so here another question that come to mind as my brain is just thinking about growing 100% of the time...So you know how it is suggested (while growing with MH/HPS) to leave in your MH bulb for the first 2 weeks and the last 2 weeks of flower, to help contain "the stretch" and also help resin & trich production? Well what if you had a hood that had both a 1k MH lamp AND a 1k HPS lamp in it?? Would you till want to remove that HPS for the first and last 2 weeks? Or will it accomplish the same "goal" by having both lamps and both spectrums going??? Any information is always greatly appreciated! Thanks Y'all!!!

I have a hood like that now, the Raptor dual bulb. I have a 1k HPS & a 400 watt MH in there for veg. This is an experiment for me, so I don't have a lot of answers for you right now.

A couple things I can say right now are the hood says not to go over 1k. It doesn't specify if that is total? Or each bulb? The sockets are completely separate. Separate wiring, separate ballasts everything. So the only reason I can see for the 1k limit is if the aluminum won't take the heat. Which is totally possible. I've not looked into it, but I have heard from people that the stuff made overseas (by Hydrofarm & Sun Systems) has a higher tendency to catch fire. My shop won't carry the chinese made stuff because of it. Like Sun Systems has hoods that are US made & some that are Chinese made, my shop won't sell the Chinese stuff. But I have about 1500 in there right now & it's fine.

I can say that what you are talking about with the first two weeks & last two weeks of MH, works much better with the Horti Blue. But they rape you on the bulb.

Also, at my local shop the other day they have the Raptor now without the glass & external stuff. It's basically just the aluminum part at a good discount. I will def be grabbing one.

@Ned Kelly @Lazerus00 cmh IS lec. I figured it out. Google brought up nanolux and sun supply brands. I know sun supply has been around for a good while.. are there any other brands that make those 315 lec?

I don't know if there are others. But I've seen the SS & Nano in person & the SS feels better built.

As for flushing. Evidence on both sides that you should or shouldn't. I personally do simply to get as much chlorophyll out of the leaves as possible. I feel you should flush but how you do it and for how long is a personal choice there is no right or wrong way.

With some strains, I have not flushed before & not noticed a difference vs flushing. That was with organic (fairly organic lol) With bottled nutes, even organic, with other strains, it seems almost intolerable if you don't flush it. Others, aren't so bad. I haven't figured that out yet, but to me, it just seems like a good practice to flush it...knowing you may create really bad cough weed.

What's more important is starting with good genetics and getting said genetics dialed in. Doing that will benefit you far more than which light you use. All comes down to what your looking for brother. Love you passion man. I really do.

ok so I've been battling and battling what seems to be a mag-. I water with 1 gallon jugs. normal amount I used through original run was 5ml per gallon. Will purpled stems turn back green when they are getting enough mag?

How much mag are you using? Still Cali-magic?

You won't get better as a grower if you are always changing variables. Get to know your genetics and what they like using the system you are using now. You need to get to know the nutrients as well.

My shop has one. It's RIDICULOUS!!!!!! I thought it was a joke at first. I can ask about the fan, it never occurred to me.

7ft. ceiling. That controller is bad ass,I saw some review vids about it.I also like that it can imitate sunrise/sunset.
I would definitely have to veg. a bit less as height could turn into a serious problem.I did see a couple people growing in tents with this fixture but not a completed run in tent.
My only option is a tent so I want the best light possible but not if it's going to give me too many problems.

If your only option is a tent, you would have to have some extremely short plants. Put it this way, I could be running one of those lights in my tent (same height issues as you) but I chose not to. I have run out of height before, & it's heartbreaking to part with one of your plants at that point in their life.

Yo what's up peeps I was just setting up my new tent and I had a quick question if I'm running a 1k lamp in a 5x5 do u think I will be able to regulate the atmosphere with one 6in inline fan and carbon filter

What fan? What is your ambient temp & rh (outside the tent)?

I ask what fan because I have a few inline fans, 6" that are only 113cfm. I also have hurricanes, that are more like 430 cfm.

So, if your fan is powerful enough, the answer is yes, it will do what you are wondering.

However, if your ambient temps/rh aren't good there is only so much the fan can do. All a fan does (unless you are sealed) is rotate air. If the environment outside your tent is undesirable, the impact the fan will have is limited. E.g. If your tent is 75/60 for veg , & ambient is 60/40, the fan is going to reduce your temps & rh too much. You have to make sure the air you are recirculating is helping the tent environment. Does that make sense?

The other post with the yellowing leaves, I believe Shroomking nailed it. At least that is the explanation that makes the most sense to me. But I've never personally seen that before. That's a weird one.

@THCdurk ...unless you are putting the seedlings straight into flower without any veg time I would suggest getting a 400w MH bulb for veg, that is if your ballast allows both MH and HPS....just a thought
