I prefer doing 18/6, if nothing else for the "vibe" of allowing it to rest and to cut back electricity. But being a single 400w and the winter temps, I'm not distraught about running em 24.

Ha!

so I checked my trichomes today. it is week six. (1- 1 1/2 gal pots) wasn't expecting weight as I'm just passing time til we move into a bigger house.

well I check them and they are almost filled up with milky color. I'm thinking that the 7 week harvest time could be possible with this plant. she stays healthy as a horse, however healthy that's supposed to be, and will let you know if something is wrong. I look forward to working her and pimping her out, as I believe she has strong genetics.

I got roughly 3 oz off her in a dwc but I only topped once with the 250 hps. I would say she is an average yielder. my training technique was crap to say.

I will fill you all in on how the trichome coloration is coming along.

Should I Let her feet (roots and soil) dry out til cut? should the soil be wet or dry when I harvest?

So anybody that uses Air-Pots here has deff heard me bitch about the Fungus Gnat issue I dealt with this cycle. Well I have them well under control and they are not an issue anymore, for now. Even thou I want to believe that they are gone for good, I am smarter then that and know they will try to get back. I was thinking of when my pots are all empty to line the inside walls with a breathable mesh of some sort that was pourus enough for air and water to go thru but not those pesky lil fuckers. Im sure I could get the material for cheap and my labor is free so I think this might be a smart idea moving forward since I am going to continue to use these pots....whatta you guys think? Got any better ideas?

Thanks...T suggested that and I did, all 5 of my pots are in mesh paint bags.....I just thought it would be neater and be more secure if it was being blocked from the inside. I dont know ill figure it out when this run is over....thanks thou homey

like i was thinking of putting the bag on the inside of the pot and have the soil go in the bag in the pot....i feel like it would be an even better seal against them being able to weasel in and out thru where the elastic is wrapping around the top of the pot

I say go for it , having it lined on both sides can only help.

Ok i wanna Apologize to all of My Brothers here, for my absence. I been in a lil financial funk, things seem to be looking up., had a thrip outbreak but have killed them lil bastards. My bloom room has been idle,no plants for over a month but that all changes today. So again brother's im back hit me up, and I'll be back full force garden wise.
Going into bloom today: 2-NYC Skunks, 1-4SD (Chemdog #4 x Sour D ibl), 1-Exodus Cheese, 1-StarFighter, 1-Yeti Big Easy cut & 1-Bruce Banner 3

As far as the pots, I don't know, what Power said sounds like it would help.

But for the gnats, I think I've come to the realization that I just can't use store bought organic soil. 3 different bags I've tried now, each one, has fungus gnats.

Which makes sense, because in my own compost pile, the are FG's everywhere. I don't know why I thought it would be different with store bought.

Are those pots worth all the effort? I suppose once you have them, you want to use them...

in my opinion i prefer the smart pots because of the mesh. The air pots are great, the best thing for fungus nats is Microbe lift mc, very effective a gitting rid of the pest. I absolutely stand behind smart or air pots over your common plastic containers. Sips are the only plastic containers id use but there 15 gal rectangular shaped to help to prevent plant getting root bound.

I top dressed with DE bought yellow sticky traps and let my soil dry out MORE in between waterings. Bam, problem solved for me. Although i admit every time i went in there (before they were gone) id kill every single one i got my eye on. Spray em down then smack.em! Lol. Truthfully top dress DE will help a lot

Lmfao im sorry man. Im just playin. I dunno when i got your email it literally put a contact in my phone and theres a picture of you and your lady. Looks like yer wearin a doo rag.
