Hi, I have a northern lights that is in its 48th day of flowering. Do I harvest or wait a couple of days?

Days have nothing to do with harvest time. Its all about the trichomes. And how much couch lock u want.

The more amber the more couch lock

Buds are still fattening up. Many white pistils remaining. Keep on waiting. Are you able to get pictures with even more magnification? You can use a jewelers loupe or handheld digital microscope. This will let you see the maturity of the trichomes much easier.

I am unable to take magnified pics. Trichome 50-60% cloudy 20% Amber the rest clear. I don't want to much of a couch lock as I need to function

Hi its about 50-60% cloudy 20%amber the rest clear. I don't want too much couch lock as I use it for pain but still need to function

Just keep in mind that the trichomes you see on the outside are just the "tip of the iceberg". They mature faster than the trichomes hidden deep within the bud. I recommend waiting until you barely see any clear on the outside of the bud, ideally no clear. This should translate to a lot less clear within the bud and a lot more cloudy.

Hey friend, I’d wait another 2 weeks, TRUST!!
I’ve been there, seen it, you can wait 2 more weeks and you’ll be glad you did.

Like other people said it’s all based on trichomes mainly, but you’re still in a great window for trichome development.

Now my only 2 cents is…
And remember this is strain dependent as well but…
If you want that more head high , harvest right about now or in a few days.
If you want more of a body high, wait like 3-4 weeks….
YOURE WELCOME LOLOLOL

Beautiful plant and buds for just 48days in flower. I've cut some at 60days but mostly run them for 80days. Good luck and it's up to you when to chop but sure looks close from the pic. Still looks like not all the hairs have turned red and curled in so i'd wait a good 10days but it's your choice.

i had to cut my last grow down a bit early as i messed it up , the tricomes were 50% cloudywith no amber (there was amber on the leaves) and i like the smoke, its mellow but i can still get on with things, and after 4-5 in the evenings i am out like a light as soon as i get horzontal

😍Freaking beautiful!! Now for speedy high, probably another week or two for more balanced high (in my not expert opinion). Very pretty!

Awesome grow @Neurostrech. Definitely wait 1-2 more weeks but keeping checking so you get the effects you want. Little guide here that might be helpful. Nice work either way!
