Bud, I'm not an expert. Plenty on here are though. Their grows show you that.

I'm not seeing said brown spot though. Get a close up photo of what you are talking about.

Oh okay. Sorry. Thought you meant it was in those photos. Ha.

Keep a close on your plant. There are a lot of good suggestions on this thread of what to do. A lot of qualified growers, each with their own way of doing things. Do what works for you in your circumstances.

This. Not as bad, but this just pulled off. Bud rot? Or worm

damage.

The caterpillars excrement causes the bud to rot. Some call this bud rot. Bbotrytis cinerea is the disease name. You can have this without having caterpillars.

The gray is an indicator of the disease. That doesn't mean it didn't start with caterpillar poop though.

Does that make sense?

Don't beat yourself up about it. Not sure how many outdoor growers don't experience this.

It's the only plant I grew. Moment of silence. Anyway, learning experience. I'll see what I get. Never had this happen. Thnx for your input!

You're welcome.

Outdoor growers grow a lot of plants to make up for all the loss. I have 6 plants. I may be able to smoke one of them. Maybe. Just giving you some perspective and food for thought. When you see outdoor growers with incredible harvests, you may not be seeing what all went into the trash. Some people show their hands all season. The good, the bad, and the ugly. Others, not so much.

I've been racking my brain and researching. If I grow outdoors next year, I will definitely be making a frame of sorts so they can be covered by mosquito netting. I will also be covering the ground to prevent any larva from coming up through the ground in my framed in spot. It would also be helpful if I made this framed in spot easy to cover. Rain and humidity also destroy our buds.

Saw some of my buds looking half eaten and had a freak out. Found some of these little green fuckers. I had a couple budlets lost. I’m checking daily now, I’ve only seen one since the initial finding. Hope it stays that way.

It’s my first outdoor grow, fuck bugs

Agree. And these bud loving suckers, are very tiny. I've only found some cause it looked similar to a pistle, but I knew it was an oddity. Yep, worm.

And make your grow area as dark as possible! No security lights, no porch lights, no walkway, lights, pull the shades at night, if you’re afraid of the dark, you will have caterpillars! Think, lights out in London!
