Hello and thank you for stopping in! This is going to be an ongoing thread of my current grows. I will update this main post with key entries (starts, harvests, etc) and links to them so that you can easily find the grow you are looking for.

Here are my starting specs on the grow environment:

Chambers/Rooms
Veg/Clone chamber: Closetmaid base cabinet, 34-3/4 in. high x 24 in. wide x 15-1/4 in. deep
Flower chamber: Grow tent - 60 in. high x 36 in. wide x 20 in. deep
Ambient Temp: 75-80F (open bedroom closet)

Lighting
Veg/Clone: 4 x 26w CFL + 2 x 26w CFL
Flower: 1 x Advanced LED DS300 (1 x 2011 GLH Spectra 290 is on the bench for now)

Grow Medium
Current: Sta-green moisture control potting soil + perlite
Future: Fox Farm Ocean Forest + perlite

Nutrients and Additives
Base Nutes: Botanicare Pure Blend Pro line (Grow, Soil)
Additives: Botanicare Cal-Mag, Botanicare Hydroplex, Botanicare Liquid Karma, Hygrozyme (started use on 3/14/2012)
Feeding Regimen: Under development still!

Grow: #1
Strains: 3 x Dinafem's Power Kush and 1 x Seedsman Seeds Purple Bud
Plant Names: PK - PK1-C1-C1, PK1-C1-C2, PK1-C1-C3; PB - PB10-C1
Origin of seeds/cuttings: PK was from a UFO from the 'tude. These are clones of a clone of that original plant. PB is a clone from my last seed of 10 regulars from the 'tude. Her "mother" plant is currently in flower and filled with many, many seeds!
Started: Cuttings were taken 2/17/2012, transplanted 2/25/2012 (give or take a day or two)
Intro: I am finishing up with these two strains right now. I grew out the original PK just to see how she would turn out. She was easily the lowest maintenance plant I have grown so far. I did have some issues, but that was due to my own laziness. She still ended up giving me 2oz out of a 3 gallon planter. I know I can do better! C1 and C2 were transplanted together and have had similar growth rates. C3 lagged behind by a few days on taking root so is behind overall and not looking near as impressive. The Purple Bud was a 10 pack of regs I ordered and always had issues. The first several seeds wouldn't germ, and the ones that did I neglected. I had two left, and one turned out to be female. Both grew pretty heartily and the male was quite impressive.

I have flowered them both, starting on the 18th. These shots are from the 20th - also my first attempt at bud porn on my PK1-C1 (the plant these two were cloned from) in flower. She's got seeds!

I did feed PK1-C1-C2 the following last night (from memory):

6.3pH and ~689ppm (tap is 125 or so)

I ordered some seeds from Sannie the other day. Have the following incoming:

Killing Fields F3 - pack of 10 regs
KO Kush F4 - pack of 10 seeds
Mad Shack - the freebies

I absolutely cannot WAIT to grow out some of the KF. Every grow I have seen of this (of the prior releases F1 and F2) look very impressive.

I transplanted PB10-C1 and Pk1-C1-C3 into FFOF soil the other day, and will report on them this weekend as well as an update on the other two. Thanks for reading!

This plant has been looking rough. Not sure if it's from doubling up the feedings on 3/5 and 3/9? This is a Sativa leaning hybrid - maybe I should back off on nutes with this? The high temps aren't helping either.

And pics! I watered PK1-C1-C3 and PB10-C1 today with straight tap @6.47ph. Right after the transplant, PB10-C1 was very lime green. It seems the upcan + the soil is really helping. Still some signs of P def (blueish tint on the main leaf vein). The PK clone is lagging some, but the heat has also been up around 85 the last few days.

The PK1-C1-C1 and PK1-C1-C2 ladies are looking mah-vah-luss! Easily the best looking plants I have tended thus far in my short run. They are stretching nicely, but not consistently. The leaf curl is not from overnute, but from being shoved into the tent :( It will become more spacey very soon!

I also moved my light up some by reconfiguring the straps, it gave me an extra 5-6 inches or so.

I moved C3 into flower last night. That one is in FFOF while C1 and C2 are in cheap hardware soil.

Quick update - logs coming later (still...)

PK1-C1-C1 and C2 are on day 33 today, pics below are from day 32 - last night. I am having more issues with these than I did with my original PK. I tried to go easy on the nutes, but I was seeing what appeared to be P def. The way it started was lower plant was super dark green. I read that as a N overdose, so I backed down on nutes slightly. Then I saw dark leaf veins (main center vein) which made the leaves look green with a blueish/dark center. This *sounds* like the start of P def. However, the top half of the plant started liming up (but with dark purple center veins). I ended up overfeeding and now they both look like crap. I flushed with a low dose nute solution two nights ago.

Well, I popped 4 Killing Field seeds, they took off like rockets. Two were real tall with two being shorter. I was thinking two females and two males. The problem - we left our bedroom door closed the other night and it got real hot. Cabinet shot up to 95 or so and cooked all four them. I lost them all :( The Jock Horror I had popped was doing magnificent though. Anyhow, I was pretty bummed when I saw they had died - there goes $50 or so. bleh.

So I am trying to figure out what to try next, I am going to hold on the KF until I can dedicate some real time to them - and I will probably breed them to get some seeds for future experiments as well.

I may pop some of my PKxPB seeds - I have a good 50 or more so far with probably another 20-30 to come.

And here is an update on the PK1 C1 and C2 plants. Had more issues with these - they took off and were growing great. The buds don't look bad - but could be better. These pics are from May 1st, around day 45. They will be going another 7-10 days. I am hoping to push them out far enough to get some more weight on - and there are still tons of white stigmas. I haven't checked the trichomes yet, but from past experience with this clone-line they aren't ready.

Pics - I included a couple of the lower portions of the plants to show how this Advanced LED DS300 is doing. You may remember it has some narrow optics (60 degree) in the middle, and I can certainly tell in the tent. It seems to be getting a bit better penetration than the GLH 2011 290v1 I have, but it's not a side by side, and the PK I grew under the GLH was a single, much bigger plant. That said, these two plants were flowered in a 36"x20" tent with 2-3 other flowering plants in there with them, so it was fairly crammed and they are still doing decently considering that.

Day 53. Breeder claims these go 45-55 days. I have harvested the earlier PKs at 49-52 days. There are just too many white pistils on her for me to yank. Not a whole lot of amber either. I am really hoping she packs on a tad more weight as well.

OK, so I have both of my LEDs in the tent right now. Temps skyrocketed to 96 last night, and probably climbed higher after I went to bed. It was warm in our room for sure, and it should be cooler tonight. I have some ducting and such of the proper size and I may try to vent into the attic this weekend. If not, I will have to kill the GLH again.

Harvested a few side branches from PK1-C1-C1 last night, they are pictured below. Wet weight of these was approx 58g, so I ma guessing ~15g dry for these buds. Still have a few side branches to harvest from this one, and of course the main cola.

And here is the dry weight. A week ago this past thursday, and here they are dry getting ready to go in jars. Total weight should have been about 3g higher but I sampled some and gave a little to a friend.

It's my first time ever getting 1oz or more from a 1gallon planter - and I did it with both of them! All under a single Advanced DS300.
