Top feeding my plants late.

Good afternoon growers. Quick question. I top feed my plants with coast of maine plant food, I forgot to add food from when I watered 2 days ago. Soil is still moist do u think I can add the top dress now?

Good afternoon growers. Quick question. I top feed my plants with coast of maine plant food, I forgot to add food from when I watered 2 days ago. Soil is still moist do u think I can add the top dress now?

You can top dress any time you like but the nutrients won't move without water to carry it. You don't want roots sitting too moist but if you have a plant that really needs to be fed, it may be worth the tradeoff of the temporary water stress if it was a one-off.

If your plants aren't flowering, you can also apply a foliar spray for light feeding. Many of the liquid ferts can be diluted down and used as a foliar, but check the label first.
