Several of my plants have just blown up after topping. Couple still need topping easily, but those that have been topped with a lot of resulting bud sites, is there a point in time where you should stop topping so much and then just let it do it’s thing? I would assume the answer is yes. When would that time be here are some pictures below if you’d like to give some comments thanks a bunch

Stop topping it. Let it grow for a week or two. Then top again if you wish

What are you trying to achieve by topping?

Topping does 2 main things:

  • keeps height in check (but not for all strains).
  • reduces the average size of buds.
Are your plants too tall? Do you have bud rot issues with large-cola plants?

Right before you want to top for the first time. ;)

Outdoors there's more time to let new growth fill in......until flowering of course. So you'll probably have more time to top, maybe a few times, if that's what you want. I would say it's too much when the resulting bushiness starts to choke the plant, where there isn't enough air flow. More, smaller buds is giving way to less air flow.

Increase yield and stealth.

Here we are yesterday, thoughts on stopping topping for a while on the plant below and let it veg good. Looking for advice on the plant below on whether at this is the point should I stop topping and just let it veg and LST until it goes in the flower. I grew in the ground last year and my plants in the woods are doing really well. But I am brand new to using pots.

Any advice on the other plants besides #1 and my topping question?
