Lol least I know for next time
as cube said. Cant really do a whole lot of training to an auto. The goal is to not stress them. They do everything on their own so they are like the Ronco Showtime of the bud world. "set it and forget it". But i mean you still want to care for it. Just barely with water. even with nutes you can risk stunting it which can be the difference between a few popcorn buds and a nice cola. i tend to do autos as my hold me over smoke to get me through to my real season. if i get a zip dried im happy. if i get enough to taste a strain im happy. I never expect much and even then they will either take off or decide to ride the slow bus and they flower and its just stringy popcorn buds. Not to say one cant do well with autos. Lots of it i think is the genetics. Lots of breeders in my opinion make auto strains for the popularity of the strain name. Not because it would make a good auto strain. But there are some really nice auto strains. (before someone attacks me thinking im saying all autos are bad). Just to the point of autos and your post. You dont want to stress them since every day is the auto clock ticking down to be done. topping it would just potentially remove your best chance at your best bud. But then again im sure in the realm of possibility there are growers that have had a successful attempt at just about everything we can do, but with far more people failing than succeeding im sure on something like this.
Autos are light feeders. Go easy on the nutes. Btw I have smoked some straight fire that was an auto. So don’t get discouraged and happy grows.
