I personally recommend LST over topping. Get some soft bendable wire to tie your plant down. Train your girls slowly, try not to hurt them.

I think there are uses for both forms of training. A hard topping is necessary to stop something from running, or is necessary to train a very top dominant strain. More bushy strains take to lst techniques very well, by comparison.
