Hello all. I've been vegging out a few plants in hydro for a couple months now and need some pointers. I'm well versed in hydro and coco but never done outdoor soil. The roots are well and have taken the shape of the buckets. Should I trim roots back before transplant and would it be okay to bury them with the net pots? There's absolutely no way I could fish the roots out of the net pots. Also, is there any good fairly inexpensive soil mixture recipe recommendations? For those that have grown outdoors, do you add additional fertilizers to your soil recipe throughout the growing season? Do you recommend silica? Cheers and thank you. In Colorado Springs and renting the tiller today.

i dont have experience of hydro .but i do have experience of shocking plants and i think that will be a shock and i would expect they will pause for a good week or two while they get used to the completely different environment. ive heard that goat and llama droppings are excellent fertilizer to put in the hole as well as microrizhea, worm castings or bat guano. Ive seen people chopping away at roots and i think its supposed to promote new growth. (i have the opposite problem, i end up with a small rootball . )
