transplanting...bury up to the first set of leaves?

Atleast the first set of true leaves. I even strip down 3 or 4 sets of leaves before I plant. This gets the rootball further down in the ground and in the long run it helps with watering issues during the summer months. the further down they are the less likely they will dry out. Poylemer crystles help with this prob also.

I am indeed using the polymer crystals, pre-expanded with a tea of Dr. Earth's organic starter fertilizer and Vitamin B1 water.

i keep the soil level the same throughout their lives....the roots will be stronger and fill out better
