I am in the process of transplanting clones into 5gal smart pots in my indoor grow space. Has anyone had any experience with using some B1 to minimize shock at this time or am I better off just plopping them in and letting them go. I have just planted a few so far and several are looking very shocked. A bit worried.

Transplanting alone should not be enough to cause 'shock' (however you're using that term to describe what you're seeing). I've put a hurt on girls by removing too much of the rootball itself, but even if you remove a good bit of media/substrate, as long as what they're going back into is within parameters (moisture, pH most notably) they should not shock.

I've never seen much difference between B1 and a good liquid kelp, and I prefer the kelp. If you really need to bring them back, invest in H&G Roots Excellurator.
