I found the sound entered the room thru the pvc plumbing. I use my room as a sanctuary so I had problems using HP longer.I would rather get 15% less and a lot more reliability. I will see what you get over your other LP grows. If you get 1/3 more I will have to invest time in dampening that pump. I was thinking about using some parts from this system, . I make a tank that is 5' x 5' x 18" I was thinking of running 4 plants in it with those foggers.
In my gm1000 I run a 1/2" 7/24 low volume water line for the mat at the bottom. I am about 3 lbs every run per plant,if I could get 3.5+ I would change my room.
Clean work on your pump housing. I was lucky enough to get a roll of rubber for soundproofing from an old friend. I sandwich it in between soundboard. I used to use silicon in between.

the pics of the system are from the room i built the system in. now the pump sets outside the room by the 20 gallon res and feeds the control pod which sets in the room with the grow pods. the flexible tubing doesnt carry any sound to the structure unless its allowed to be in contact with the walls. where it passes thru the wall i have it surrounded with neoprene so the noise doesnt travel into the structure. your right before i did that the pulsating from the diaphram pump carryed thru to the structure but not anymore.
I find no difference in the reliability from my LP systems to this one as i used all the same parts in the LP systems as this just lower pressures. i know alot of peole think aero "you have nothing but clogged nozzels and your plants will die suddenly". when i would harvest a tree in my LP systems i would shut off the valve to that pod and it would be all day sometimes for me to trim by myself and even at the end of the day the girl still wasnt wilting. on this system i turned off the misters one day to take a pic of the roots and forgot to turn it back on to that pod. discovered it 12 hrs later the plant wasnt even wilted. i documented the fuck up on my RIU thread. the roots did suffer a little but not much.
Im not expecting much from these girls so it will take a couple of rounds to see what the HP does compared to the LP. Im use to a tree filling a 5x5 area that stands at least 5 feet. these little things are only 30-32 inches tall and 35inches wide. Also these are not tree material as i got almost zero stretch. surprised the hell out of me when they never stretched on the flip.
Your 5x5x18inch tank is about the size im considering for one single plant tree chamber. Im not going to try and convince you on the fogger link you provided but in my opinion the droplet size is to small. people talk about thier foggers but i never have seen a large plant grown with just foggers. the people who patended the atomix found that 30-80 micron is the ideal range. i have yet to see any roots that look like the atomix. go to UK420 and look up g-love threads on his experments with the atomix. no one can argue about the root quality of the 30-80micron unless someone has some material i havent seen. theres a guy who runs foggers (icmag)but he also has misters and i guess he says it will grow big that way. but just foggers i have yet to see a large plant grown.
Running the seperate line for the mat is something i have considered also. have the top with misters and keep the bottom a fast RDWC. Even this way though id use HP with 50 micron misters for the top. After using this HP only now i think it is possible to only use HP if one lifts the roots off the chamber floor with a elevated silk screen bottom. ive used these fake bottoms in my LP aero systems to keep the mat out of the runoff and i saw a marked difference when i did. the roots will not go thru a fine silk screen, i used them for years. i have the silk screen over the drains on this system and again the roots dont go thru yet the water will.
If your the same guy i remember (the freak)your work from the krusty, reaper, soquick days. 3 lb consistent is definatly respectable. of coarse this DD has moved the mark up now but lets see if it can be pushed even further.
