I’m about 5 days out from week 8…… I want peak thc , don’t want the trichs to degrade too much , I’m told week 9-10 is a good time to start checking for harvest unless it’s a sativa dominant strain. Where do trichomes in this pic look ? I feel like I see some clear still but with this being my second harvest I still question the difference in milky and cloudy

From what I can see, I think that would be peak harvest if you had to pick a time. But this is probably where the line would be blurred and some would say wait just a little longer or maybe even it should have been harvested already?

Make sure you aren't checking the trim leaves they mature faster. Good luck

It looks like you'll be right on the dot for a week 8 harvest.

Nice
These are indica plants so the other two I have in the back may go a little longer bc they are sativa hybrids
Thanks for your input

That’s my struggle of deciding what’s best
I was always told about ten weeks but I think realistically that’ll be too much degradation

Well, I'm not sure how that degradation works. I think the THC degrades but something cbd/cbn doesn't and that's why it leads to a more of a "couchlock" high?".

I might be wrong, but I know I like more amber. I love feeling couchlocked. That's the high I look for. I don't like the "energetic" high. I don't know if I'm explaining it and I'm probably wrong on something here but just don't remember that type of stuff.

Yea that’s what I meant with thc turning to cbn
I love the couch lock too
I just didn’t want to let it go too long and take away the strain specific effects bc the thc turned to too much cbn
I’m new to all this lol

Cbd and Thc both degrade into cbn which makes you sleepy, cbd and thc are transporters for the terps, flavanoids and other cannaboids etc... thc and cbd alone suck IMO, you need terps for the unique experience of each strain
