I know this is an old post but I felt it needed to be a little more in depth. Everyone has their opinions and that's all this is. But truly you shouldn't remove any leaves once you start flowering, this is a technique for vegetative state. Anytime you remove leaves it gives a boost to it's veg cycle even if it's started flowering (except right before you harvest, ex pre-trim.) This is why you always hear people say not to cut leaves once it's begun flowering. So just always plan ahead about a month before the plant should be harvested give it that last large trim to prepare your bud sites
