bummer.. I got this shit about 6 months ago. Lost 2 rnds of cuts and cost my self 4 months with no crop, tore that shit down and put em in soil

won't be going back any time soon.
I would stay away from sunshine 4 and go with a mix of fox farm products which you can use straight water on until about day 35 of flower

The first time I got slimed it killed 2 of my plants that weren't as established in my flood and drain, I pretty much did what OP did, and I also cut out the superthrive. I gave away my bottle to my buddy who does soil and I haven't had a outbreak of slime since. superthrive and enzymes can feed the slime.

Hey guys,
I think maybe I have it figured out. I broke the system down and cleaned it. I used KY lube instead of soap for all the joints. I thought KY was supposed to be water soluble....not. That stuff was everywhere. The slime was growing 99% at the joints. I've heard a couple of people on here say they use sex lube to assemble their UC's, I'd like to know if anyone else had success with it.

KY is sterile. It's meant to be introduced internally in humans...no need to be insulting.

I was thinking it may have been the KY. My thinking was that maybe they put a small amount of sugars to make it at least palatable in case you get it in your mouth. I thought that maybe it was living off the nutes??

I just went into my other room...it's there too. I used soap on that side. There is a bit of slime on the roots. I think I'm just gonna jerk that shit out of there and throw it in some good ole Sunshine.

I've been growing hydro for 15 years and I've never seen anything like this. I just moved to this spot, so I suppose something could be in the pipes..?

I'm afraid to go back to one of my old hydro systems because of that possibility.

Eff me man. I hope it's not something in the water, I just sank a shitload in this place...

But, to answer your question...I wish it was but I don't think it's the KY.
That stuff was all over the uniseals though, it didn't break down that's for sure.

I used astroglide. #1 choice in the porn capital in the sfv. We all get a free bottle each year for being a homeowner there.:D

No, seriously, I did use astroglide on my uniseals with no problem like you are having. I can't say for KY, but astroglide does have a bit of a sweet taste. I can't imagine that a small amount like that would cause such an outbreak though. But, what the hell do I know, except that I prefer the glide to the KY.:D

That's what I thought.
Like I said....wishful thinking lol. Oh well, if you've been doing this a while, then you know...shit happens. You've just gotta dust yourself off and stay after it. I'll do a quick soil-less grow and get if figured out~DN

Funny after thought...I was tired of rinsing all the soap out of the system after assembling so I asked my girl to go get the KY. While she was on the way to Walgreens I noticed one of my humidity meters seemed like it needed batteries. See where this is going? So, yeah I call her...she's like "Seriously!!??".....YUP, KY and batteries.....sweet!
