The other day I was looking at a commercial bottled product. It had the percentage of active ingredients on the label and then of course told you how much concentrate to use per gallon. I wanted to figure out how much of this dry ingredient to use and instead of weight wanted it by volume (teaspoons). So after futzing around with my calculator I jump on chatGPT and give it the info and what I want, thinking it would be fast and easy.Maybe I do too much peroxide sometimes lol
Edit: I'm working with the 35% h2o2, I never really did the math I guess, I kinda just fuckin eyeball it, how professional.

I’ve never seen anything so fucked up in my life. It was doing all these calculations and then coming up with crazy answers. I’d go back and say “but you said earlier…” and it serious would “think” for 20-30 seconds before saying “I apologize…” and then chug away with another long calculation, before producing another weird answer.
I finally just gave up.

So, an AI that was programmed with propaganda as it's basis of information lied to you?The other day I was looking at a commercial bottled product. I couldn't have said it better. Some of us were nice, despite having seen some weird comments from @Trixie. Anyone who has spent time on a forum -- any forum -- would know they would be challenged sometimes.Well, that’s a fine slap in the face to all whom have defended you here.

I use a few times a week - mainly just saying “rewrite: [whatever here]” and 99% of the time it’s a vast improvement. Especially when doing advocacy or hoping to get a desired outcome, it tones down the snark (at least in my writing). It’s also great for Twitter battles. Who has time or inclination to actually look up the facts to the B.S., and if it’s wrong who cares!

I haven’t been on this forum for about 6 months, and not keeping up with new posters, but have been a member for a decade. A few days ago I posted a question about a problem I had last year (hoping to keep it from happening again this year. Been growing for 40+ years, so not a complete moron, but was stumped.)
I only got one reply to my post - I’ll let you guess who. It was very definitive and I’m thinking “well dang this person must know”. It wasn’t like “this could be” or “have you looked into…” it was “This is the problem”. After reading this thread I now realize the advice given was most likely complete bullshit, from a person who doesn’t know jack shit about growing weed. So I’m pretty firmly in the; dumb asses who don’t know shit, shouldn’t be giving out advice, column.
Now that said, I ask ChatGPT to rewrite
Although I have been a member of this forum for over a decade, I have not been active for the past 6 months. Recently, I posted a question seeking advice on a problem I had encountered last year while growing marijuana. Despite having decades of experience, I was stumped and hoped to avoid the same issue this year. Unfortunately, only one person responded to my post, and I now suspect that this individual has no real knowledge about growing weed. Their response was very definitive and lacked any nuance or exploration of other possibilities. In retrospect, I believe the advice was complete nonsense. This experience has reinforced my belief that unqualified individuals should not be dispensing advice on topics they know little about.

most people on here are really knowledgeable and help me and other newbs with everything we ask, and thank you.
but bad advice is just that, bad advice and should be deleted.
