good morning! evening to some!
i took the plunge and got a sproutling of about a week old.
light situation is well a 50w 5500 lumens shop light... but needs to be upgraded in the next few weeks i would imagine.
i have 2 choices im looking at both recommended on were and are under 100$!

strain is tropical cookies auto sativa! my first plant to get this far!!

she is 4" tall and the main leafs are about a half inch in length currently.
18-6 light schedule not sure if that matters yet or not...
i used some kind of tropical soil that says feed for 6 months... but yeah... from what im reading,

That pot looks to be a little small. What size? With autos you want to be starting them in their forever home. Somewhere between 3-7 gals is a good choice.

Its definitely a journey. Im new to growing too but I put in tons of hours educating myself before starting and continue to do so even a few hours ago learned to do something new. You dont need anything fancy to get good results. Im happy to help however I can. Yes from the time the seed shell came of the sprout shes about 2 hours into day 8.

Definately your light and if you had the right kind then the pot would be becoming an issue quick. but always better to start autos in the big pot.

Those lights in the closet were only 80-90 bucks a piece and i have a cheap 8" fan off to side in there moving air around. With more knowledge I would spend a little more for the one I linked if i was buying again. Less than $150 will grow you a nice plant.

small update after 9 hrs with new light! main leafs have begun point towards the light. the light sits 20" above the plant. should i lower it? all seems good so far! happy little plant!

What light did you end up going with?

Just be as ginger as possible when you transplant to the larger pot. I would also hold off on it for now since she is already starting to stretch her roots and they are pretty delicate at this stage.
