Heres the real scrog nets I built...as most ppl dont know the diff between scrogging and trellis netting..... I also don't get why people will build single layer scrogs and then they go and buy 50 plant yoyos per plant on top of it when u can easily make a adjustable 2nd net and even a 3rd I'f u really wanted however it would be a waste imo as u could just buy a trellis net and zip tie it around the uprights as they are there just to support those magically delishmish cannameds we all love..as a trellis net is for holding the plant up from the weight of fruit/buds not for scrogging which is more or less a style of growing you have to set it up in order to do as you super crop and monster crop the plant as u pretty much have to gently bend and pinch ea branch at the height you want and do not split the stem either or u will be decreasing your yield not improving so you have to take your time and you can start doing it earlier in veg too just want it as like a even table but you have to plan ahead on if your going to scrog and also depends if you have a seprate room for veg and bloom like I do...
If you want to do the adjustable floating scrogs you have to use 3/4 pvc as for the adjustable net you need 1in cross tees so it can slide in the uprights and use a screw or eye screw etc to select your height..
I also highly recommend you guys stop taking the time to build a pvc scrog and then you go half ass it and you get a trellis net you zip tie or screw it too as that is a big no no..you cant ever get the squares even actually plus the trellis always comes off the pvc due to the plant pushing on it due to growing up...and please do not use wire or fishing line any of that trash that will cut into your plants actually... get braided Mason line and do NOT CUT IT USE A FLAME IT WONT FREY....dont get the twisted Mason line either it doesnt work as it will fray and wont last nearly as long...also most trellis nets are 6in that you find local that's too big for a scrog...
Please people do not use screws to attach your line and make your squares with drill a hole all the way thru the pvc and fish it thru the hole it not only makes the alignment of the squares better..but you dont have screws catching on you all the time but most of all with screws the entire net will not stay fully taught all the way thru therefore the net will slide off the screws and all those issues are resolved by simply drilling a hole all the way thru as you would be pre drilling for the screws..
I will only use panhead screws for the fittings to keep everything screwed together no need to glue..
I make my nets every 3-4in it kinda just depends on how big your building it and your plants..I like 4in best but that's just me..
For attaching the nets and making them floating I got cable and made eyelets attached to a eye screw that I put on both sides of the net and I used like 1.5in keychain rings they are like I guess you can call them in the middle to attach the 2 cables so its 2 ratchet straps per net..or you could just do 1 ratchet stap towards your aisle so when you harvest and clean etc you can lift the front of the net up and do your cleaning and not have the net in the way..i did 2 ratchet straps just cuz it was easiest for me and i zip tied the back uprights to my tent as well to make it more stable and does wonders...
