Tweedy and Sweet Tangerine

Sweet T for ya. Losing the calcium battle pretty hard. 2 gallon peat/hydroton mix is getting its ass beat by this 1000 watter in such a small area and its driving em near full throttle. Could have had a better pull in my buckets but wanted to experiment.

A few more. Yeti male took the lead so he gets the sole duty of hitting the sweet tangerine.

Thanks neverbreak. This is my bastard run to play with new tricks and to see what these flowers are like at ten weeks vs seven like they are normally pulled at.

Can't do anything with them other than cherish them. Loompa is in the game and in demand so I wouldn't want to ride his coat tails for what is essentially 1/10,000th of the selection process. These will be some fucking fire though. I have a feeling that I am going to have different goals than him though, not so much isolating the fuel but embracing the sweet tart and hunting for keepers. @loompa, thanks again for making these possible.

Basically the goal for this is to find a strain that will finish quickly for my outdoor needs. We get a really early and persistent rain here so she has to finish fast.

So ran over my cellphone, not much going on here for pics until I fix it. But the male purpled up on me pretty heavily (striping and all) so I'm curious to see if it passes over into the babies. Sweet Tangerine has purple trichome stems so maybe there is some serious purple hiding in them :)

So just locked down a Green Crack and a Cinex to do another round of preservation. Nothing like replenishing seed stock. Feels so natural.

This is a pretty old cut to my knowledge. Came from an old timer and passed its way through hands to me. Been in our circle for at least four years and held tighter longer than that by others. If you search matanuska thunderfuck info out apparently it got crossed with some other Alaskan strain named golf bud and made its way to Oregon under the name "tangerine" or "tange". I have a feeling this is potentially that with "sweet"added on at some point for "bag appeal" to buyers. Who knows. Its good bud for sure. But that would explain the freakishly short flower on them and the crazy leaves. My friends pull at 49 days. Consistently. Its just done by then. I plan on taking it longer just because I'm a turd and like to push a plant just about as far as they'll go to see what they're capable of. Hence the 1000 hanging in a 4x4 vertically. Haha.

This is sweet tangerine at 42 days, to early for sure. I push a full 8 weeks for density reasons. Pros and cons;
HARVEST 49 DAYS PRO'S;
50-50 color of pistils (bright bag appeal)
Lime green flower color.
HARVEST 49 DAYS CON'S;
Lacking in density, often tests higher in THC-A giving a more elevated heartbeat (associated with paranoia) if your new and have no tolerance. Still a great high.

HARVEST 56 DAYS PRO'S;
Much denser flower.
More mature high (couchlock)
Longer lasting high
More medicinal effects (people with cronic pain)
HARVEST 56 DAYS CON'S;
Potential for yellowing sweet leaf
Tops can get very dense( some dont prefer taste associated with denser nugs.
I prefer 56 day harvest. Ive grown this strain exclusively for many years. If anyone has more detailed questions regarding growing this strain feel free to ask.
