i know some guys have done this to allow a better crown feed of biowar -put rooted clone in 5.5 net pot with cocoa let it root into the pot then drop into 8" net pot backed up with hydroton and into undercurrent .obviously to facilitate a better bio growth allowing crown feed ,and zero transition issues and of course keep it above water level .I tend to have issues with crown issues sometimes it seems like damp off then turn into pythia (rot)issues .65* sterile system uc roots(pricey at 3ml per)currently very dialed set up.zero light issues etc.i think i would like to get into caps biowar in rdwc .i love it in cocoa and seriously think this technique has merrit.
thanks to all and please i dont really want to get into the sterile vrs bio battle ive done both would like to get input or thoughts on this techique .
