@Aqua

You’re coco thread says to keep the medium saturated, or that you can.

Is this after the seedling stage?

And are you supposed to always have a dry back cycle?

It gets a little confusing

Plan to flower a morning glory around a trellis

It’ll be beautiful

Holy hell this is dope

Can anyone explain the mechanism behind this? And what exactly scientifically is happening here?

I know it’s Akin to

Ripening
Senescence/fade
Cannabinoids/resins
Anthocyanins

?

And the biological mechanisms at play here?

I believe it has something to do with the plant consuming less food and light near the end of its life. This leaves unused sugars and chlorophyll in the leaves that breakdown to create the anthocyanins. This is exaggerated by cold temps because the colder temps further slow the usage of nutrients. That's my understanding.

Out of 5 gals I topped 3 and just give rainwater now till final chop so yes as they ready they will fade. Nice plants, cheers SS

Letting them dry

Getting my watering habits down.

No water today yet

The morning glory going to look so dope when I get one setup around the 5x5 trellis
