Hello all. This is my first grow and I’d like a little help with trying to figure out how much longer I have in my flowering girls until harvest day. I predicted July 11th as my projected date but I’m thinking I might need a bit longer based on how many white pistils I’m seeing.

Firing GSCE (Girl Scout cookies extreme) from ILGM
Growing in soil
Humidity 60%
Temp 75 (I’ve been trying to get it lower but where I live it’s extremely hot this year.
Grow started March 18 directly into soil.
Flipped to flower May 9th. Now approaching week 9 of flower.

I’m sure I left out some needed information. If I did feel free to ask. Thankyou any help is greatly appreciated.

————————Update—————————

I was told a week or so ago that July 30 seems like a good prediction for harvest I’m here to try and see if that predicted date still holds true.

Looks good, they’re definitely getting into senescence. The pics of trichomes you posted are on the leaves, which are gonna turn amber way sooner than the ones on the actual buds. The loupe can be a pain but spend some time messing with it and try and see the trichomes a little deeper into the flower if that makes sense.

Good job either way, don’t rush it now. Someone more experienced should chime in soon. Congrats!

Thankyou for your help I didn’t realize that lol. Also the loupe is a bit difficult to use with my phone as someone on my last post had recommended but I’m going to try and play with it a bit more.

Oh dude taking a photo thru the loupe is something I could never get down right lmao. I gave up and got a usb microscope that connects to my phone. works pretty well.

You’ve come so far. give them a chance to finish if you can lol

I found out from a commercial fellow how to peel a bud off a run and look at the inside. I used that last harvest. I had a few places in the plant with some very good amber but the internal bud peek showed clear trics. I waited another 6 days until they got cloudy.
You have a few tric pictures with burst tricomes and damage. This can be heat or wind. Check.
I almost bought the GSCE but went with the apple fritter Auto from ILGM.

I’m willing to wait how ever longs needed lmao I js want to make sure I get it rite and not get air to long or to early. Same goes for curing. I plan to let more than half cure for over 3 months. But I’ve got to get there first.

The damage was caused when moving my plants out of the tent for a deep clean of the tent. I hit a few buds on the fan and walls of the tent more times than I’d like to admit 😂. But what’s this peel and check method your referring to any videos I could watch to get a better understanding?

No videos but it is easy to explain.
Your grow has bud runs where individual smaller buds follow the stems making a missile. Go to a sugar leafs or even a stemmed fan leaf in the bud and move it side to side until you can see the main stem the leaf is coming out of. You then just tug and pull back and fourth until the pistles and such relax and you can pull the bud away from the stem and see the back side.

This was my first run white window photo.
Here are shots where I called my last harvest

When people harvest at 30% amber it does coincide with cloudy on the inside but my problem on first grow was not being able to tell amber from age vrs amber from damage. The insides are normally clean with no cat hair.
