Don't feel bad about trimmin, a few years back I went 12-14 hours a day for over 5 weeks strait with scissors in hand
after the first 3 days people generally start to lose it lol.....and awesome thread third eye momma, lloks like your gonna have some tasty smoke for winter...I really like you name too

Here's a shot of the second to last trim of Blue Hash. It's got one more eye to go into it and I will feel satisfied that we got very sweet (and tasty) from her!

love from the mountain,
lizzie and her carpel tunnel, HUZZAH!

Aaaaaaack!!! (My best "Bill the cat" sounds)

I've been trimming for OMD hours as you all know. I screech again.

NEWS
Miss Haze is sitting behind me in the kitchen, having remained outside with BLUE HASH, PURPLE KUSH & BUBBA KUSH until the 18th when we got snow

I'm now starting on more BH & PK trimming, it's been harvested about 3-4 different days before this final song.

CANNALOPE is thriving, weather appears she may go out for more of Sol.

I've got many many classy Italian glass (I'm classy that way) 2,4,&5 liter sealed lid jars filled to the brim.

Mystery plant has officially been named carter lake honey. Smells honey. Not a bit of durbin poison taste or affect. More haze.

And that, my friends, is the continuing saga of mamas first real grow.

I GOT BLESSTERS ON ME FEENGERS!

LOVE YOU
3iM

Just found a full layer of dry bud on the bottom level of my huge drying thing. I mean FULL.

Just finished cutting-to-dry the complete blue hash and purple KUSH today. CANNALOPE will be the last.

HOW DID YOU SURVIVE IT?

Great respect to ALL!
How'd y'all doin on yer outdoor harvest???

Throw in Full Metal Jacket and get to gettin....this year was not bad, 8-10 people for 7 days strait 8 hours a day..dry trim on top of that...

When is your optimal time to trim? I've been taking off the fan leaves and tried fresh trimming, and as noted have had to trim totally dry. Medium ( flexible but not snapping ! ).

Just took down CANNALOPE. Last one to trim. I turn it every time I go by the drying pod.

Next up: Hubby will be making the hash. Last time he did that was '72. What's this millenium's choices?

Love to all and all you love
Mama

If I don't trim green, I'll wait till it is bone dry almost brittle, much easier trimmin...

I would get a 5 bag bubble bag setup and make some nice headies..

I miss sitting out amongst my plants and talking to them, watching them, loving them... such a sad time to have to bring it in and harvest. I AM DONE TRIMMING! I have cleared out my smoking for over a week to sample each strain alternate days. Here's the report: Damn the blue hash and shooting star kicked my arse, (and it's a tough one to kick, believe me!)... the honey durban is bizarre, I stilll don't know what I like about it except it's a creeper. They are all strong, no doubt. But my money is on the blue hash for the strongest of the bunch. My Bubba was very small, got it late after the orig owner cloned off her all summer. But the harvest is better than anything I've purchased, and its one of my pain management staples.

Haven't tried the vortex yet, and have stayed away from the "honey durbin" to make sure I am cleaned out several days to try it.

Here's the photo experience for y'all.

I LOVE my Cannalope Haze. The yield was so low that I'm putting in three plants next year.

And up we go!

full shot into the jar:

Cannalope

Maui

Purplekush

Shootingstar

Vortex

Damn, I haven't even tried the Maui yet! More will be revealed.

Oh, about the hash. Hubby said he would do that, so I thought "cool, he's got the books about the new ways of making it" and then of course, I saw the bottle of Everclear. Since neither of us drinks, I knew what it will used for. 1970s hash.

Again, more to be revealed! Gotta surrender to the old days some time, we'll just see how this works.

Those buds all look nice. I bet they have a good smell.

Can someone explain the benefit of growing multiple strains?
When I try difference kinds as a 'tester' (lol) they have a different smell, but ultimately about the same effect. Or maybe I answered my own question and the smell and flavor is really the difference and reason to grow many types.

I use them for different medicinal needs, and am finding which strains to concentrate on. I also got two strains that hubby brought home to see what they would do. Next year I know which I would like to grow and what to grow more of ... and when to start! I also enjoyed watching them all do different things. It was very cool to nurture them throughout the summer and to watch the differences. Does that help?

yes, that helps and makes perfect sense. I guess the old days of the 2 strains of good and gooder (swag and top shelf) are long past us! :)

I cannot tell you the joy in growing and curing my own medicine. It is. Bar none. Much bestter than I've gotten for Boulder area dispensaries in two years. Damn plaza in quality. I don't know all the new lingo. Say. Groovy works.
