useing xxxl hoods

i am setting up a room with xxxl hoods for my fisrt time, and want to know the square footage they can cover? I usually tend to use one hood per 4x4 area... can i assume that the bigger hood gives me a bigger area of light, or isthat another pipe dream? anybody know from experience, please give input.

I have two Magnum XXXLs and they seem to cover each cover their 4x6 area pretty well. I have a couple of the great white reflectors that are a bit larger in an 8x12 room but my plants are mostly in a 5x8 area inside it and they look like they're getting good light density. We still spin the plants a 1/4 turn now and then for more even growth.
