How many of you use a sweetener, like molasses, right before harvest? If you do, what do you use, when do you use it, and what do you feel you get from it?

I'm trying it out for the first time on my current grow. GH FloraNectar. Started out w/GH trio + Calmag, then added Incredible Bulk a few grows back, and really noticed the difference. Now onto the liquid molasses. We shall see how it goes. I'm using it the last 5 weeks of flower.

I like my coffee black!
Jokes apart, if you want to increase flavor then adding Sulfur is one of the best way. You can do it by using epsom salts all thru the grow or even boost at the end with a tiny bit of Potassium Sulphate.
Molasses is good to feed your beneficials and you can use it in veg too but it really doesent add sweetness to the buds....

Molasses is for feeding microbes in a compost tea. In my opinion, molasses in the soil invites pests. I feed molasses to aerated compost tea, but won't use it on the soil until all the sweet smell is gone, meaning the molasses is consumed. Like stated earlier provide adequate sulfur. Adding UVB light helps express more terpenes, in my experience.

Molasses has some carbs and iron and a lot of Potassium. Love it for ACT.
Won’t have any affect on taste.

genetics is everything 99% of taste and smell is genetics and 1% is adequate feeding ime. i had mind blowing smells from way underfed plants and no smell at all from well fed ones. you can push it by increasing trich production uvb, drought conditions near the end, lower temps as they finish etc but if the smell is weak to begin with its just not gonna change.

Hmmm... I actually didn't know people thought this changed the taste, lol. I thought it was just being called a sweetener because of the sugar. Sometimes takes awhile to put 2 and 2 together for me. I'm adding it because I read it enhanced nutrient availability, added calcium/iron/carbs, enhance the beneficial bacteria, and a local grower suggested it. I use the incrediblebulk to up my sulfur so I'm good there. Although, from the science I've read sulphur doesn't enhance terps it enhances the Prenylated Volatile Sulfur Compounds in cannabis which are actually what gives it the 'skunky' smell not the terps.
