Using Tor to stay anonymous

A few tips for while on TOR:
avoid ALL social networks & personal emails (other than emails setup for use on TOR)
avoid javascript as much as possible (entirely is best) - No Youtube -
If you switch websites, but still care to remain on TOR, it's not a bad idea to "Use New Identity"

This is how I access the site, new identity here and a new anonymous email accessed only through Tor, and don't access any of your "real" accounts from Tor.

The Tor Browser Bundle makes it very easy to use.
