Vacuum chambe bho help please

Im considering buying a bho blaster and a vacuum chamber/ pump

But im starting to get really confused
Some say you need a vacuum oven others say chamber

i read that it is crucial to add heat during the purge just dont get how youre supposed to do that in a vacuum chamber please help

I just need to know what i need cuz im afucking idiot on this subject

Hey buddy, I make bho myself, I’ve used a vac chamber a few times when I was looking to make shatter, but my preferred method is hot water bath to purge…and I whisk it so it makes nice crumble, playdoh like consistency.

As far as heat goes while vacuuming, I used some metal disk that I found laying around…dropped it in some hot water, after it’s hot dry it and put it in the chamber and put your wax on top with parchment or silicon pad and vacuum away. I repeated this process a few times as the metal cools fairly quickly…I’ve seen others use some sort of ceramic instead of the metal, but I made due with what I had.

Thats very impressive had the understanding that water bath purge was bad

Thanks man, I wish I had a solid answer for you on time, but I’d say I typically add boiling water then whisk for about 5 mins and change the water and repeat…usually at least 5 water changes or more…its gonna be a few months till I make more, but I’ll document it when I do…prob takes about an hour of prep, packing the tubes and blowing, then another hour with the water bath.

I use a vacuum chamber without heat. It probably takes a little longer, but you don't need the vacuum pump running all the time. You don't want too much heat at any stage, as you will accelerate the loss of terpenes. I start with a gentle water bath until the BHO is about the consistency of maple syrup. I add a tiny amount, 0.5ml, of liquidiser per 10ml of finished product, since I am looking for thick oil, not shatter. Then I transfer to a capped syringe, without the plunger, and place that in the chamber. Start drawing the vacuum slowly to avoid the liquid boiling over. After about 5 minutes, you should be able to pull as close to a full vacuum as your pump allows. After another 5 minutes, close off the pump and leave it for 30 minutes. Pop back every 30 minutes and pull a bit more vacuum for a minute or two. After 3-4 hours, there will be no more bubbles and trace amounts of, if any, butane. Note that you mustn't switch off the pump while the pump is under vacuum, or you'll end up with oil being pulled out of the pump. You must close the valve to the chamber, and slacken the pipe to allow the vacuum to escape before switching the pump off. Don't get over het up about trace amounts of butane. To put it in perspective, aerosol deodorants, which people happily spray around a locker room, fill the air with way more butane than the trace amounts left in your BHO. It's also used in some food sprays.
