Vaporizer,and C.O.P.D.

I didn't know where to put this..
I found out I have copd, and I would like to smoke but my Doc. said use a vaporizer or use it to cook with, so can anyone help me out with this. I smoke as I have RA real bad and refuse to take pain pills or Steroids.
