Hello everyone,

I decided to switch from H&G in coco to MaxiBloom.
I am currently using:

1 tsp/Gal MaxiBloom
5 ml/Gal Cal-Mag+
2 ml/Gal Pro-Tekt Silica
1 ml/Gal FloraLicious+

pH right around 5.7-6.1

I am using GH CocoTek mixed bricks, no perlite. They were hydrated with 1/2 tsp/Gal MB and 5 ml/Gal Cal-Mag+.

When mixed up, I end up with an EC right around 2.0 which is higher than I am used to with House and Garden. However, since pretty much day 1, I've been dealing with what I believe some N, P, Mg and possible Fe deficiencies.

It seemed to worsen when I transplanted them from under T5s to the 1kW HPS.

Here they are Nov. 1st under the T5, the day before transplant. Looking maybe a bit Mg hungry, not too bad.

2 days later under 1kW HPS

And here they are 11/10/11

And here is how they look today, which also happens to be day 1 of 12/12.

The clone is Chemdog D and it is my first time running it and I am not sure if I should up the nutes (thinking not) or back off slightly.

I still have a few clones under T5 and they are being fed the exact same mix and are looking healthier than the ones under HID.

The runoff pH is right at 6.0.

Temps are 73-75, RH always between 50 and 60, CO2 at 1100 ppm.

Thanks in advance for any help.

I've been reading about some peeps getting bottles of Cal-Mag that are about 300% strength.

You definitely need Cal/Mag with MaxiBloom in Coco... that or a gram of epsom salts.

Try mixing some cal-mag by itself to see if the label matches what it mixes up to... eh? :D

Stay Safe! :D

You have purple stems and taco leaves.... major indicator or Mag deficiency. Your girls are looking very light green as well. I would increase Nitrogen levels as well.

man fuck no u dont need any CALMAG Wut so ever. even in ro water. I have a few runs with maxibloom not ever did i need calmag with nice plants I have the pics to back it up. But then again this was done with tap water but other sites have a shit load of ppl running it with ro water with out calmag I think u adding the calmag locked something out this powder is a one part u dont need anthing else. I could see some molasses maybe and some silica for the ph up maybe some moabs at the end very simple. some of the dankest nugs I have grown was done with maxibloom and tap water.

Mg-def-like symptoms on new growth, purple stems, respond poorly to increased light... Have you checked for root aphids?
