Veg growth 12 hrs HPS 6 hrs t5?

Kind of off the wall question, search revealed nothing.

I got my tent set up, waiting for bro to help hang the carbon filter, but will be testing the lights, temps etc. for a few days.

Will it be ok to run the girls under the 1k hps while testing 12/12 plus hang the t5s to fill out the rest of the 18hrs? Id hate to run the HID and not utilize the extra light but dont want to stress the ladies.

And yes, in case you didn't guess, I am a noob.

i veg under HPS so that isnt an issue.

As far as the light variation it should not matter. Just make sure the T5's are on

hid is better than all t5, no matte what kind really as long as u dont burn em. only difference about veging under hps is that the nodes will grow a little further apart than if u were using MH

Thanks for the replies. Soon as I finish getting set up I will move t5s and leave them on 24hrs, cycling HPS for 12/12 till I get it all dialed in.

Im glad I will be able to put that light to good use.
