It shouldnt ive done it before with no ill effects but i would try not to do it often because it will cause stress. So i would not do it if you can and never ever do it in bloom very bad thing to do

I would think it causes stress imo. I run 24 hrs a day

Depends on the amount of time you interrupt the cycle and how often you do it. But for the most part yes it will stress the plants.
