How long can I stay in veg or another way to ask how do you know when to switch out of veg into bloom. I put theses in my 4x4 tent June 6 about killed them because of nutrients and ph rookie mistakes. I surprised they made it but I’m happy to finish it out .

But to answer your question, you can flip after preflower. I like to veg for atleast a month and a half. The longer you veg, the bigger yield. Typically. Always make sure your plants are healthy when you flip though.

You can also veg for years, just saw a video the other day of 11 year veg

My rule is 50% of what my space can handle. Also as many tops as I can possibly get the plants to make, my whole purpose in veg is even canopy, maximum tops, strong stems, air flow. There is not a lot of watering or anything for me in veg so I focus on training and spinning stems.

Look up pidgeons 420 training plants youtube video. He shows it perfectly. You basically put a stem between your fingers of newer growth the old stuff is stiff. And spin one way and then the other.
For LST example look up my grow journal peanut butter breath and space panda. If you have any questions about the pics let me know. Hopefully it helps, everyone does things a little differently so take what works for you and roll with it. I do 2 different examples, one is topping and the tieing down vs no topping and Bending the main stem down.
