So, I've had this constant problem with my air intakes, they grow mildew in them after a year or so, and I have to peel the drywall from the studs, clean and sterilze and re-drywall.... I use the space between studs on an exterior wall as the "Vent Stack" so the building has a hole with louvers on the exterior near the ground, and the interior has a hole near the ceiling, also louvered, that feeds the cool air that is sucked from near the ground into the room... of course moisture condenses when the cool air is sucked into the warm room....... what is a more professional way to do this? I am sick of rebuilding this every year!

Yo Bud
GLue some laminate instead of that drywall, or over the drywall,
I made a desk from plywood and laminte years ago, Wipes up with windex bro and just caulk the korners

Even easier, strip it to the bare wood and paint oil based enamel with ya favore color........... pink;
