Are you seeing any growth like this on your plants? My healthiest from seed plants start showing this growth pattern.
These are not my pictures, but this is some symptom I have seen and want to confirm if you have seen it as well. There is also a few variations of TMV; learning more and more as I read.

Using the regalia as a soil drench and using beneficials have kept me growing. Unfortunatly physan 20 isnt on the approved wa state list so im not allowed to use it.... bummer. Gotta stay legal. Now i just gotta convince my buddy to stop smoking cigs. I have only been cloning off clones and still can get clones to root in 7 days but once i transplant and put under more intense light i start getting the deficiencies I wish there were proven cases of transmission between smokers and tmv on cannabis. Maybe one day. Thanks for all ur guys input. I will check out that companion.

If blaming it on your buddy smoking cigs helps you sleep at night then fine. But I’m 99% sure that is not your problem.:D

Abstract
BACKGROUND:
Tobacco mosaic virus (TMV) has been described as viable in cigarettes or cigar tobacco. It has been cultured about 50 years ago from sputa and thoracentesis fluids of cigarette smokers with a history of pulmonary disease and from lung cancerous matter. In addition, TMV RNA has been recovered recently from human stools while tobacco DNA was recovered from smokers' bronchoalveolar lavages.

OBJECTIVES:
We assessed the prevalence, titers, and infectivity of TMV in tobacco cigarettes and in the saliva of smokers and non smokers.

STUDY DESIGN:
Tobacco cigarettes from 10 packs of different brands were purchased. Saliva was collected from 12 smokers and 15 non-smokers. Cigarettes and saliva samples were tested for the presence of TMV RNA using a home-made quantitative real-time RT-PCR assay. TMV RNA quantification was enabled by using dilutions of purified TMV. TMV viability was tested by inoculating leaves of Nicotiana tabacum Xanthi (NtX).

RESULTS:
All 47 smoking cigarettes of six brands were TMV RNA-positive (mean titer, 9.5 log(10)copies/cigarette); TMV was found viable in 53% of them. In addition, 20/44 (45%) saliva from 12 smokers compared to 0/16 saliva from 15 non-smokers tested positive for TMV RNA (mean titer, 3.8 log(10)copies/ml) (p=0.001).

CONCLUSIONS:
Our results indicate that the TMV genome may get access to the human body by direct exposure through smoking. Although plant viruses are considered not pathogenic for animals, these data prompt to study if TMV RNA is present and induces a modification of the transcriptional program in lung cells of cigarette smokers.

I don't think he was the one that gave the plants the virus. The pathologist warned me to never hire smokers in the garden, she was convinced that smokers transmit tmv to cannabis plants. Im just worried that it could be something down the road. Plus well smoking is expensive, removes years from your life.. just my opinion. I quit smoking about 5 years ago and I'm glad I did. To each there own though.
My plants have had some missing pieces like a bug got to them just like that. This another sign of the virus.

https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC4072989/

TMV is very closely related to Sunn Hemp Mosaic Virus and likely since TMV tests for also cucumber/tomato mosaic virus, it seems the gene sequence of SHMV is close enough to register positive on a TMV test. This article also suggests further sequencing is needed on all of these virii.

Perhaps as suggested we are dealing with a bacterium like campestris xanthomonas. Especially if you see leaves that look like they were eaten by an insect but there are none.

I would think that if it were a bacterium it would have come up in tests preformed by the pathologist.. I could be wrong though. The leaf cupping and blistering is what my main problem has been. Then the plant shows intervenal chlorsis. I can get the plants healthy and happy but if something small happens. Topping, too much light, high temps. The plants show virus signs again. Also the inability to produce nice large leaves.

What strain is it and why not just trash it? My original diesel has a similar issue.
Hard to get big leaves as well. This strain has the most potent headband effect I have ever tried that’s why I won’t ditch her. It doesn’t spread to any other strain though and has been tested for tub but was negative.

Its all my strains all 60 of them. Spreads thru to other strains. I have seen chem dawg crosses that will do that also. Its in the genetics tho not a virus or anything like that. That's why it's staying to that particular strain. Im finishing my rounds popping a ton of seeds. Breaks my heart but I'm over fighting shit like this. Im still intreasted in learning as much as possible about this issue. 14 plus years of growing and this is the only thing that's kicked my ass.

I wasn’t aware of that. Baffling though. Have you ever had broad or russet mites?
