If you have an internet connection, the wifi version is best because you can view conditions and change setting remotely from anywhere with cell service while the Bluetooth only models only allows it within Bluetooth range, both models can be used without Bluetooth and wifi as well but there's advance automations when using the phone app. I have the wifi version and it was well worth it IMO, definitely made controlling my tent easier.
