Voodoo juice to cure this root rot. I think it’s root rot

Is this root rot?

I just got voodoo juice added to the DWC bucket. Didn’t have anything like that previously. Had the netpot submerged in water most of the time with a ton of air stones. Maybe too violent of air?

my general hydroponic floracious plus nutrient causes the mix to be brown so I thought the brown roots were normal but it was looking bad earlier

I did the root rot wash as suggested and put it in a bucket of fresh water with voodoos juice and the general hydroponic trio.

Eww.. Can't help, but what does the plant look like? If the plant looks bad, that should be the tell.

Plant looks really good honestly.

The roots were white a week ago when they were young.

maybe the plant will start looking rough in the next few days.

Bennies provided via voodoo juice which was introduced tonight. Little late to the game with them though.

Hydro is supposed to be the most responsive as far as the way the plants react. Hopefully you are good.

I’ve read good things about voodoo juice. Hope so because it was a $110 bottle.

Bucket temp is around 69-71f

I added 8ml/gal to my 3 gal dwc bucket. So 24ml of voodoo.

You need to rinse those roots off. Get all the slime off then do a new res to put em in and top feed some voodoo juice to inoculate the roots in the net pot.

That’s what I did. Massaged the roots under a warm water bath. Then took the pic.

turned down my air bubbles

swapped for fresh water

added voodoo juice this time and there is a pump in the bucket also dripping into the top

Is that the only time root rot poses a problem?

I’m not a hydro grower. Coco all the way.
Voodoo is designed for root growth typically in veg, and transplant.
don’t see y it wouldn’t do the same thing in hydro.

I thought it was a beneficial bacteria that helps prevent and fight root rot?

Have you a picture of the whole plant in the pot you could put up? I think I would repot the plant in the pic with the rotten roots, and sterilise the pot.

I would go hydroguard, it saved my plant from root rot using @Aqua Man suggested method. And this ain’t no one day process, you got a few days of root cleaning and top feeding to hopefully flush out whatever is causing the problem.

You said you submerge your net pot into water.....in my opinion you need a air gap from bottom of your netpot to top of solution 1" to 1 1/2" and i prefer hydroguard once again this works for me.....gl happy farming

You were right about air gap.

I just left this plant go as an experiment. Rotten roots and all. While the plant seems to be suffering, the new roots with an air gap seem to be doing awesome.

I had abandoned this plant and was waiting for garbage day. In that time, the water went from 3/4 the way up the bucket and no air gap to only a few inches of gross, abandoned water in the bottom. Low and behold there are tons of proper roots showing since the water level went down

I did pour a gallon of my pre mixed water through the hydroton this morning since it has potential and the water was extremely low.

the plant looks rough. I removed all the gross and dead leaves 2 days ago and the plant is already overwhelmed with them.

am I able to go sterile although one or 2 of my fertilizers are organic? Maybe I can just not use the organic ones.

Organic in hydro is a pretty advanced task... not one I would undertake.
