Just politicians pandering to their bases. No chance in hell that 2/3rds would want to explain to their public why the Gov't is using bullying tactics to get a tax passed. We're 1/3 Independent, 1/3 Donkey, 1/3 Elephant in this state. Basically, whether it is dope or not, it is setting a precedent that the legislature will circumvent the will of the people, if we don't give them carte blanche on the taxes...Not many Coloradans are down with that...
We don't want to be a state like New Jersey or New York where all the power resides in the legislature (no citizen initiated amendment process).

see.... this is why we need potheads in there making the rules-:p

we are up against corporations and the only way you get what you want with a dirty mob is to give them there cut-
we are up against cotton, big oil, big pharm and the paper/construction industry all at once-
even the health food industry-
they want there piece of that big ol pie-
and from what i understand this 64 is a constitutional amendment which can not be over turned unless found unconstitutional correct?

so..lets vote no..
it would be our only chance to set our own reasonable tax rate or at least let them know 30% is just to big of a piece for your average grower-
we want it to go towards education and things like health care etc but we all know better-
so make the cut smaller-
looking like our only logical option to keep the people and growers happy but find a lower rate as a compromise for sales -

I renewed last month. I think it's extra protection. I will be able to carry more, grow more plants, looking like 18, and still access a dispensary if I need to. I don't, but you never know.

Is the driver's license next, kolah? The DMV has your name/info/and your image stored in FACE RECOGNITION software (if you haven't renewed lately to experience the process) and IMO....is far more intrusive into your life than the CDHPE and the red Card can ever be.

good luck

Keep your docs recs and don't send anything to the state. If the retail and tax model doesn't pass, it should and will give way for recreational growers to form co-ops and create a farmer's market model. Dispensary quality is not improving and people cranking B grade will soon abandon indoor because greenhouse and outdoor has a larger profit margin and capacity for volume. The combination of all this should help clearly redefine our quality price tiers. In other words, if the tax doesn't pass, quality indoor will still increase in demand, and thus hopefully will restore the prices to at least LA dispensary wholesale prices...

A buddy of mine got three raps on his door three days after expiration- be careful with what they already know. His card was for a large amount though... maybe they profiled him because of that?

Where in the law are you seeing a provision for allowing the collective model/farmer's market model to exist, green?

FWIW peeps, without completing the Red Card process, A20 doesn't offer you any protection (affirmative defense) whatsoever. A rec is like having the Driver's Handbook and trying to claim it's your legal D/L when pulled over by the cops. Not so. A Xerox'd form isn't gonna fly if they show at your door.

but good luck however ya run! It's all a game anyway....

I am not growing any MJ this year as I may be moving to AZ very soon. I gifted all my plants to friends. I got two very nice offers to go back to working as a chiropractor. If all goes as planned, I'll keep my land, move to AZ, make some good cash and return and build in a few years.

and yeah the DL thing sucks. Many years ago I tried doing without it, lost quite a few cars and spent some time in jails, lol. One can't really "hide-out" anymore but dropping my MJ redcard status IMO is advantageous. IMO, it keeps the bullseye off my back.

Wow, that'd be quite the change. I hope it works out for ya if that is what you want.

Lol kolah, I think a lot of us have had a bullseye on our back for a long time. We are just hard to hit. I also taste like shit and am out of season. Good luck in AZ. Make some $$$.

Remember I`ve always said" Tax, Regulate, and Control = Bad"

This is one that will get sorted in the courts, because nothing expressly forbids it, nothing expressly sanctions it.

Where are you reading this?
Medical need has been established.
