I wash mine at home.. But like El C. Said I rinse them with the water hose 1st & most of the coco comes off then put them in the washing machine with some bleach & there good 2 go..
I've washed them 2 times already so this is my 3rd run with them & everything seems great they look almost new 2 me..Cool! Somebody told me that bleach would break down the material they are made from. (no expert!, mind you...lol) . But thats why I went with vinegar. Bleach was the first thing I thought about using.
Do you see the bleach doing anything to the material?
I use cheap weed cloth at the bottom of my planters. When I change soil I replace it. Its cheap.
I dont leave it in there for the same reason I clean my pots. Indoors there is not a good balance of nature. Its easy for a bug or bacteria or spore to gain a foothold with no natural predators and go wild.
What about salt build up on the outside of the pots? Some folks have that as an issue
I clean everything in my room between runs.
thats kinda where i've gotten to lately, i'm trying to put less energy into this where i can.... not saying be lazy but do some thinigs that save me some time and energy like trellis instead of stake, just ripping the main rootmass out of my coco and going right back in..
